How to reverse a weird kind of hair loss?
-
I have very thick, long, and curly hair. Unfortunately, every so often for as long as I can remember, there is sometimes an itch at the very top of my head where all the hair tends to pull all around. This was especially bad when doing a keto diet and getting one shotted by the seed oil acolytes.
So, now, after scratching it and not realizing I was pulling my hair out, there is this area of lower hair follicle density at the top and on the back where the hair is longest.
TO BE CLEAR, the hair is NOT thinning out like you would see with the so-called "androgenic alopecia." It's simply a lower density of hair follicles.
Is there a remedy for this? Everything I'm seeing here and on RPF is for hair THINNING because most people don't have long hair.
