I personally know a mainstream Endocrinologist with a significant amount of prestige in that world. I would like to ask him some probing questions to see if I can poke holes in his view of biology. What questions would you ask someone like this? What is the quickest way to reveal the fault lines between mainstream endocrinology and Peat's approach?

@NangaParbat Where to start with Reich? I have heard of him, but never read any of his work.

RE: The Force
@Truth It is not, but I am not sure how I could prove that. Was there something in particular you thought was suspicious?

The Force
To fully embrace Bioenergetic theory, we must see the connection in all things.
Fundamentally, Ray Peat believed that the cosmos was conducive to Life, rather than antagonistic. In other words, there is something akin to the force of gravity or magnetism that produces Life in the world. It is constantly at work and suddenly bursts forth in a powerful way. When we notice these bursts, we call it Life. This is most easily identified in plants and animals. So then everything that lives and breathes is tuned into this force to one degree or another. It is rightly said that there exists a scale here where a small organism only visible to a microscope is not so finely tuned to this force as a ferocious Lion is.
How does Man fit into this equation? Many would be inclined to see Man as the most finely tuned creature to the Life Force, but this is too simplistic. The religious traditions of the world and throughout the ages agree that Man has a unique place in the world. But they also agree that the vast majority of men exist in a fallen state, forsaking their in born talents. Rare is the man that does not succumb to the temptations of the world. More important though is the man that is gifted with a special endowment of spiritual hardware (so to speak). He not only is more able to rigorously slough the trash around him, but is able to take his freedom from filth to greater depths than others could. He has variously been called a prophet, king, god, superman . . .The most talented men often are highly volatile. Their immense power can be used for good or bad. Training, discipline, sobriety.... Acquiring these attributes are just as important as honing their ferocious abilities into finely tuned instruments. Without them, their abilities could consume not only the practioner, but those around him.
I contend that none of this is mere speculation. Some of us here can recall profound experiences occurring since childhood not easily explained away. I do not here include visions or deja vu, though they should not be ignored entirely, but am mostly thinking of more concrete events. Something like an out of body experience, predicting the future vividly, mind control, or telepathy. Perhaps there is someone here that can will these things on command. Some things cannot be explained or demonstrated in purely rational terms. Nevertheless, we can still strive to employ a scientific and experimental attitude towards these things. I suspect that diet and technology are going to be key to unlocking these secrets.
