why does drinking baking soda make me gag?

i add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda to a cup of water and drink it, but the second it reaches the back of my mouth i feel the need to gag and throwup. I have to hold my nose to get it down.
also when it tried baking soda in OJ it was so disgusting to me i couldnt even take a sip.. what is my body trying to tell me? please help

@Chud you could try to put the baking soda straight into your mouth and down it with water

mommy issues (vagus nerve). I used to have to hum and rub my ears for 20 minutes to get down the carrot salad, because i have mommy issues and my vagus nerve is hypersensitive.
