      @MFF I tried dissolving 300mg niacinamide in water and sipping on it throughout the day when thirsty, at the recommendation of someone on the old forum. I think in experiments that have shown benefits from niacinamide supplementation, this is the method used for administering it to the lab rats (dissolved in water and drunk ad libitum). I found it caused mild hypoglycemia for me, but it seems to have worked well for others.

        @herayclitus Ahh yeah this is a good idea. I've been putting small amounts into gelatin caps & taking, but it's super inefficient, takes forever

          @MFF this dose works mostly as a precursor for NAD+ and helps to lower free fatty acids. Timing doesn't matter that much in my experience, maybe every 3 hours if you want to really get it perfect. I sometimes take 50-100mg in the morning with breakfast and it feels like it helps my digestion.

            @MFF are you using a powder? Struggling to find niacinamide supps in less that 500mg. For anyone else, is 500mg doses too much? It works wonders but peat talked about much smaller doses more frequently. A 250 would be golden.

            You will have tried the carrot salad…

              @rayp I tried 500mg one evening with ice cream and it felt like it crashed my blood sugar. I felt normal again the next morning.

                @Energetic-Retard it 100% will crash your blood sugar just due to your metabolic increase. Been taking 500mg in the morning and it’s really working just way over what peat rec’d yet still under what Haidut sometimes said lol

                  @rayp Bulk supplements is a good cheap source but you will have to measure out your own dosages. You can eye ball it well enough to within 20 mg easily. niacinamide is a very well behaved little powder

                    we love our favorite seductive molecule niacinamide don't we? yes we do...that's right. niacinamide always pours well and acts as it should.. we love it so much And we'll do anything to make more niacinamide and spread it's love far and wide. Niacinamor

                        @rayp I've been using the powder from Purebulk and using gelatin caps & a microgram scale. It's really annoying & time consuming, but yeah same I couldn't find an good capsules under 500mg
