My question: a doc once said there is a risk for renal failure when taking too long and too much Aspirin.
Anyone got such issues? Kidney problems?
    Are there any cases?

I've never heart of this. 🤔

They say this because aspirin is a NSAID.

          Hello everybody

I am happy to see a new non-corrupted forum here 🙂

I am currently uncoupling my mitochondria with 4-5 g of Aspirin a day. Of course I also supplement K2.

I am 104kg, 178cm and ca. 20% bodyfat (I am doing Mentzer style bodybuilding). My goal is (of course) to lose fat.

          Nutritional:
100g of protein (20g Gelatine, rest meat and cheese) -> enough to build muscles!
30-50g of fat from meat and cheese
As much fruits as I can.
Freeze dried beef testicles and organ mix from www.raw-animal.shop (only for Europe).
          Occasionally starch, almost never PUFAs.

My question: a doc once said there is a risk for renal failure when taking too long and too much Aspirin.
Anyone got such issues? Kidney problems?
          Are there any cases?

I also take creatine and lift heavy weights. Therefore my renal markers are always a little high.

P.S.: I feel great when taking those amounts of Aspirin!

          Regards
          Sero

I think it's not that obvious. But I know that using such high doses of aspirin will require balancing. I need to read the research to say more about the nephrotoxic effects of aspirin.

So yes. Indeed, large doses of aspirin are capable of causing nephrotoxicity. A reduction in prostaglandins may reduce renal blood flow and cause impaired glomerular filtration. I think this is due to improper reabsorption of minerals and electrolytes. Adequate hydration may help prevent renal complications and renal tubular apoptosis. Most clinical cases of aspirin-related kidney damage involved large doses taken "all at once." They were also probably not adequately hydrated.

Vitamin K2 may alleviate the side effects of aspirin, because it has been proven that it can work against vasoconstriction of blood vessels, which is the main cause of damage to kidney tissue after aspirin.

@SeroBass what's the point though. You wanna find out whether it's toxic or what?

All right. So meaning that enough OJ, water, milk and little bit of salt will counter the toxicity. Neverthless, I need to go to the doc and do some blood work to check my urat and stuff. Thank you.

Uncoupling mitochondria --> leaning down/burning fat depots, increasing CO2 etc.

I would be weary about taking large Aspirin doses consistently. I was taking ~3 grams a day for a week once and I was fine, but I'm not sure if is preferable or sustainable to do.

Literally me. Try cutting fat and replacing with more carbs for a few months. High Carb Low fat is currently the only thing that is working to lower my bodyfat.

I am at month nr. 2 now. Probably I need to do some blood work...

Yeah, going well so far. I also do a lot of low intensity cardio to do fatmaxx. It is working. The peaty way to loose weight!

Generally, it's more effective to take 650 mg of aspirin every four to six hours, rather than take 975 mg initially. That's for uncoupling.

Aspirin can drastically lower workout recovery. Slow wound healing, easily bruising, and lowered muscle repair are all included when you start inhibiting prostaglandins.

I am very careful now with aspirin and vitamin e. Estrogen and aromatase expression are usually seen as a bad thing, but they are necessary to some degree in the body.

                              @DaveFoster I am 102 kg. I think this one
                              also matters, no?

@Quantification yes, you are right. But I want to lose fat right now. When the fat is lost, I will go back to normal.

                                  @Fructose got my labs:

Creatinin is high because I am significantly muscular and I take creatine.

EGFR CKD-EPI, urea and uric acid are fine.
                                  Liver has also no problems.

                                  In love with Aspirin.

Did you notice any negative effects on your muscle growth with this dose?

When people say that aspirin affects gains, I don't think that prostaglandins are the problem in this case; perhaps it's the fact that aspirin increases AMPK and AMPK reduces muscle protein synthesis.
