Anyone taking vitamin A orally?

    I was always sketched by Peat's comments of vitamin A burning his lips if it touched a little, an therefore use the vitamin A supplements on my skin.

    I am trying to use a high amount of it, and with an estimated topical absorption of 10%, it's just not viable.

    Is anyone taking vitamin A orally? Could I mix it with some food to make it go as far down as possible?

      @tea I've never taken any vitamin topically, except for some skincare products. But I don't doubt that topical has advantages. I've never felt that Vitamin A burned my mouth when taking it. It was the same as any other fat soluble.

        If I was gonna take it orally I would take it with a high fat meal

          I take once a week 10 000 UI retinyl pamitate (softgel).
          I manage so:
          breakfast Vit A (with fat)
          midday with K2 (1 drop K2 MK4 = 1 000 mcg). High dose fat is needed (optimal at 35 gr fat).
          Evening meal: 5 000 UI D3. (2 000 UI in summer time if outside)

          Useful info:
          Vitamin K uses the same pathway as Vit E. , High-dose vitamin K could contribute to vitamin E deficiency. Idem for glutathion (a small portion of vitamin K is broken down to a compound known as menadione. Menadione must be neutralized, with glutathion).
