Orange pigmentation in hands/callouses
-
I feel like I saw a post once either on here or on peat twitter about orange coloration of the hands/ callouses and I am just curious to be reminded what causes this & what it means/ how to fix it. I know this is very vague but hopefully someone know what I'm talking about. Cheers

A low thyroid person can't convert carotene to vitamin A, and so they will typically accumulate orange in the calluses of their hands and feet, and their skin, their hands and feet are almost always cold because their metabolic rate is low.

I learned something new!
No wonder a lot of people have poor eyesight.
Mainstream keeps pushing beta-carotene as Vitamin A at the expense of retinol.
While our doctors keep interpreting thyroid panels wrongly and giving people false negatives on whether or not they are hypothyroid.
Eat beef liver to be sure. And eat carrots for the gut antibacterial effect.
