Help healing from Mold Exposure
-
Been peating for about 1.5 years. 6 months ago, was caught in a bad situation, and the house I was living at for a few months had hidden mold. I started having bad headaches, and throat tightness from the mold exposure, which I have never had before. As soon as I realized and was possible, I left. Just after leaving, I had a horrible cough, which went away in a few weeks, as did all my other symptoms, except one. I have to constantly clear my throat of mucus, even after all these months. I believe it is post-nasal drip, but I am not sure. Maybe I have a mold colony or something still living inside my sinuses? idk if thats a thing
What I've tried: cypro, daily aspirin/vitD/vitK/vitE for months, sinus rinses, thyroid, carrot salads.
Anyone have any idea what I can do to finally kick this mucus in my throat/recover fully from the mold? I'm so sick of clearing my throat every 5 minutes

You may have found this out already but it sounds like you have MARCONS. MARCoNS stands for Multiple Antibiotic Resistant Coagulase Negative Staphylococci, a slow-growing bacteria that can cause an antibiotic-resistant staph infection in the nasal passage. MARCoNS can be difficult to treat because it survives in biofilms that protect it from antibiotics. This bacteria is found in water damaged homes that also have mold. The biofilm will also have fungi in it.
One way of treating it:
https://www.cirsmap.com/marcons-treatment-guideTons of info online.
You basically want to break up the biofilm and then flush it out. NAC, lumbrokinase, Biocidine or oregano oil and daily nasal washes with GSE or hypochlorus acid. This can take awhile, like up to 6 months.
There is also a prescription VIP spray that works more quickly.
I also suggest a binder like cholysteramine (prescription) or CellCore biotoxin binder because you want to get the mold toxins out also.

What kind of mucus is it?
Is it white, yellow, or green?
It's not coming off from your nose?
When you lie down to sleep, does it come out more often?

@RaypEagle I know how you feel sadly I am still living in mine despite the numerus conversations about cutting my contract well actually almost an year. So what helps me cope in that shit situation is Ketotifen. In the winter was 1gr twice a day, now is the summer bc of the heat and the humidity I do 2gr twice a day. Also I use sometimes Lapodin.
