Whenever I take cynomel, even split into tiny doses. It makes me nauseas where I otherwise would be ok (dealing with on and off pregnancy nausea). Any ideas behind why this would be the case?

@functionalgirl I did read that supplemental thyroid during pregnancy can cause hypothyroidism in the child. I’d like to know what anyone knows about this?

I don't have any direct experience, but I did find this article from the creator of Saturee, hopefully it is of some help. She does consulting, maybe she can offer some advice?

@functionalgirl I’ve thought about this some more, it could be because you need more carbohydrates. Taking T3 increases your need for energy and being pregnant that would be crashing your blood sugars, if you’re not eating enough carbs to support. Low bloody sugar during pregnancy causes nausea.

@functionalgirl, since aversions are common with pregnancy, could you be extra sensitive to one or more of the excipients in Cynomel? You may already be aware of this but just in case you aren’t, you may find salt helps relieve the nausea.
