Falling asleep after meals
-
Someone I know is dealing with these 'food comas'. What are the reasons they happen? Is it always due to blood sugar fluctuations, or is there something else that could be causing it?
And what are the tests someone should do in this situation, to get a diagnosis and locate the root cause? Does it have to be an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test? Or could a Continuous Glucose Monitor be sufficient?

@Peater0921 is it after heavy serotonin producing meals perhaps?

There are several options, not limited to these ones, but you didn't give details as you were supposed to
- weakness or fainting ?
- somnolence or collapse?
- state of mind + physical sensations.

@Peater0921 Have you checked your blood sugar before and after meals
