Can’t Seem to Lose Weight
-
I have been trying to lose weight for a while now and nothing is working. I am open to any suggestions.
I have been doing the following:
-
Modified Anabology diet where I drink orange juice and other juice until dinner
-
IdeaLabs Pansterone, CortiNon, StressNon
-
Psyllium husk powder
-
Cynomel literally 3 whole tablets daily
-
Eugenol extract one drop diluted in water (fell for the Peatler meme hoping to melt all of the fat in my body)
Weight fluctuates within the same 2-3 pound range. Just when I think I’m making progress I go back up one or two pounds and it seems like I’ve plateaued. It’s also lent so I’ve given up beef and alcohol. Not eating beef is probably not helping here but there’s clearly something bigger wrong and I’m tired of not making any progress. Maybe I need to give it more time.

The goal is to reduce Cortisol. So that means avoiding any fasted state, always have some sugar at every point of the day. Peat was always in favor of constantly "snacking" for this purpose. Make absolutely sure that the dinner you are eating isn't fat heavy, you don't want more than 20% of your calories be fat.
At the beginning you should see some weight gain from increased muscle mass. Muscle burns fat just by resting. At some point you will have gained enough muscle that you will start losing weight.
Since you can't know whether gained weight is fat or muscle you should not use the scale as indicator, waist circumference is a far better indicator for fat loss than mass.

Need body measures and activity level -
I’ve been successful, (I’ve replicated this experiment twice now) with a diet of milk and honey or milk and dextrose all day, and a “normal” dinner, small evening snack, and a warm chocolate milk before bed.
I have a decent caloric intake, (though I don’t track it anymore really) at about 3200-4000 calories depending on activity level that day.
Two years ago I lost 20lbs over about 4-6 months time, and this year, (currently using this strategy) I’ve lost 20lbs again, (this time over about 3-4 months).
I always drink my milk warm, usually about 16oz, and add two tablespoons of honey. For breakfast I use dextrose for its ability to replenish glycogen. After lifting weights I also rely on dextrose, (I do that three times a week).
Many people have trouble with hunger on fruit and juice til dinner diets, but the milk is quite easy, (at least for me) and I get to eat whatever I want from 5pm-8pm, (dinner and my snack- which is usually raw cheddar, a fruit, and some sourdough crackers or bread).
I think it’s just the Randle cycle. My milk is skim so I just don’t eat fat til dinner. Then I eat some fat and return to protein/carbs only.

I'm not sure. I believe somewhat that water retention accounts for a lot of extra weight, so it isn't always fat but water that is lost. Water retention is a concept in German new medicine and tcm, has to do with hanging on to pain/trauma, stress etc.
I think this may be part of it. I think Lent is added stress and fasting can be metaphorical for different active efforts instead of passive/wasting/denial.
Have you tried: coconut oil; carrots; potatoes; gelatin?
Considered quitting supplements?
