Followed a high pH diet for a week
-
I've been eating for a week a low acid diet. The reason being that acidic foods constipates me or disrupts my bowels making it not so perfectly smooth. Simply by mixing acidic foods + non acidic foods, creates an overflow of stomach acid for aprox 30 mins, then there is a rebound of pH, leading to low stomach acid.
If I crave something acidic, such as pineapple juice, I drink it between meals 1-2h apart. This stabilizes stomach acid pH.
My bowels started being incredibly smooth and the feeling of heaviness disappeared.
What I eat:
Melon
Mango 🥭
Pastamostly everyday
Breadonce every few days
Potatoonce every few days
Olive oil 🫒
Olives 🫒
Chicken no fat
Ground beef200g every 3 days
Pineapple(only acidic food, 300g max)
Skim milk(250-500g when I crave it)
Egg yolkAlso:
🥥
🟫
I don't mix starches with protein
What I avoid:
Coffee
Tomato
Oranges
Butter 🧈
Full fat milk
Coke 🥤
Spices
Chocolate
Cheese
Bacon
Beef 🥩Also:
️
🥦
🧅🧄🫘
🥯
Note:
I started drinking tea almost daily chamomile+ 🫚 and I think it contributed to the bowels too.
Benefits:
Clearer skin - 🫒 oil
No sluggishness
Heat tolerance
More sweating
Smelly sweat (getting out toxins?)
Not feeling dirty
More confidence
Clear nose
No mood swings
No anhedoniaThe biggest change was when I replaced butter with pure olive oil from Greece. Then if I started eating grass fed ground beef with 20% fat, the sluggishness reappeared instantly (if combined with starches).

Hi,
Do you eat meat at midday or in the evening, which could explain why your pH is not optimal in the evening (weaker), though there isn't any counterindication (Meat >< Starch).
If you "feel" too acidic (pain) during interprandial digestion, this means you'd better optimize the thickness of the mucus layer. I'd take1/4 tsp glutamine powder and 1/4 tsp taurine to balance excitoxicity from glutamate). 3 hours after the last meal. -

Wrong analyze.
olive oil is mainly MUFA (with PUFA). The right vehicle to eliminate toxins. If you manage well the digestion about pH (Meat >< Starch), there is less difficulty. More energy to eliminate. easier work for the liver. You said:

=> Try to eat this meal at midday, with some veggie before (no more than 2 elements, but with one source sugar). (20 gr is enough).
I'd see with enzyme supplement:
=> enzymedica lipogold. Mind the kind before clicking on internet.
At the evening, Betain Hcl could help. once a day (Now foods, with ginger and protease) -

I tried also in the morning meat and I felt bad too.
I do not feel pain, -

It happened plenty of times. I went back to butter to confirm it.
It seems like you wrote that comment just to feel "superior" in the thread. And why should I start taking supplements if I already feel great? What's the point? We should all aim toward a life without supplements.
-
@LucH Or maybe you misunderstood my comment.
I was saying that I felt great on olive oil and then, if I started eating ground beef with 20% fat, which is saturated, I would feel bad.
Saturated fat bad
Monosaturated good -

20 years coaching, mainly with people who would not assimilate well due to health problem. I'm not a professional, however. Only a retired teacher with a lot of research...
Ok, see you later in another life
I didn't want to oppose 2"feelings". Just to open a window to find a possible explanation.
But if you're coming here to log. OK I can understand and admit it.
Hope you can find the right way.
