Just bought 1kg eggshell powder. How do I use it?
-
I don't fully tolerate dairy yet (A2 milk has been better lately). Was eating straight eggshells from boiled eggs. For a change, I bought a kilo of eggshell powder. So far, I have found it to not be soluble in milk, juices or water.
What is the easiest way to consume it? Can it be overdosed? Any recommended dosage?

I never digested eggshells well, I think it was partly because I couldn't ground them up fine enough. But also because it's calcium as carbonate that requires stomach acid you might want to take it with food or even react it before hand with vinegar, that way creating calcium acetate.

@rayjeet For me the easiest way is to mix it with sauces, patties, puree, rice, scrambled egg. I would also try ice cream, eggnog or kogel mogel if needed. I like to consume it with fat, becouse product I bought is milled really fine and I am caucious of persorbtion.

@Lew adding to eggs and rice seems to be a good idea. What is persorbtion?
-
@rayjeet Very small particles permeate gi tract so they appear in a bloodstream
-
@Lew maybe a noob question but how would taking this with food like eggs, rice prevent persobtion?
-
@rayjeet I add extra coconut oil to those dishes, which is protective against persorption. It also help digest rice, becouse starch is made out of microgranules.
