New "Mission" of RPF

@Razvan Hey bro, nice to see you here as well.
-
There is a natural cycle... (which can be prevented with a proactive approach)
Usually, early adopters/majority are highly engaged and interested in in-depth knowledge/understanding. And doing this with intellectual honesty and respect...
Then comes the rest... which usually prefers superficial understanding and easy mindless recipes.
And probably that happened in part to RPF, people with shallow/reductionist minds and a lack of systemic/holistic/dialectical understanding started to be the majority...
It also includes the commercialization of the forum... (as others already pointed out)

@Amazoniac good to see you here. I think you would have to ask Georgi directly as I can't speak for the man. He is a man that likes to experiment. He may be channeling WIlliam Blake in "the true method of knowledge is experiment."

@Charlie don't tase me brooooo
-
Hi, in part just a very ineffective attempt to make at least some people believe that the ideas Charlie promotes, and the way he promotes them, are still Ray peat's ideas, and that it's legitimate for the forum to keep his name, when absolutely not,
the ideas that Charlie promotes, the lack of discernment and nuance with which he promotes them, the way in which he bans some of the people who have ideas that increase his insecurity, some of his total lies, do not correspond at all to Ray Peat's ideas, and are at least partly opposed to it
Potentially Charlie knows this, and he doesn't have so little discernment, potentially he just wants to continue in part to use Raymond Peat's name to sell his own suppléments

Well I’ve just been banned. I asked why not rename the forum or start a new forum... said I found it insulting to Ray to claim to be “improving” on his life’s work when forum members have only a fraction of his experience. Then I said something about being unsure about the new religious overtones and how I wondered if there was a financial incentive for keeping things going under his name.
No answer, just a ban.
I was very respectful but he won’t even tolerate anyone who disagrees now? I’ve never even had a warning at that place and I’ve been there for 10 years.

@Luke I dreamed he made a scrolling banner Ray Peat Wrong Again! last night.
-
@ilovethesea He did you a favor.
-
@Regina -power corrupts
-
@Amazoniac hey buddy glad to reconnect with you here. you can keep pestering me with your fish jokes lol
-
@Regina you’re probably right. What a trainwreck.
-
this forum should steal the exact forum format of rpf, without all the cumb subforums though

If it's to prove something to the poison A crowd, the proponents rejected a century-worth of research on this toxin, in a manner that's captured here. I wonder what unique it would have to offer to make any difference for them at all. May be animal sacrifice in vain.
Syndicate meetings be like...

Nice to see you here. Here's wishing for you to have recovered your pulmonary function. Enough of it at least.
-
So many familiar names here. Good to see!
-
@ThinPicking Thanks. Glad to see you here as well, where we continue to share and help each other with the same spirit we started with at RPF.
I encountered a perfect storm of my own making in a long and unending journey of 20+ years of lowering my blood pressure naturally. I went to the hospital twice in a year. A lot learned about the lungs and the heart, and how interwoven they are in a virtuous cycle when working well, and in a vicious cycle when not. RP's writings helped as I get to understand first-hand the pathology as I connect the dots that the doctors can't as they did save me but only with what they learned by rote in med school. As to be expected, cause and effect is not something part of it. A Nike ethos of "Just Do It" prevails.

@Amazoniac Yes. It would be a defilement. And would track a pattern of behaviour.
Hi, Regina!
The posts so far had some of the mannerisms, with the exception of the first. But it was a period when our lion was in panic and sleep-deprived as this space was created. The same discount goes for the avatar image, that's a careless cropping of a screenshot.
Occasional appearances could serve to throw people into a loop and prevent them from detaching from the forum. It's similar to breaking up with a partner and the person making sure to attend to the same activities on purpose, attempting to fuel resentment and leave you stuck in your thoughts. It's why I don't discard the possibility of our feline being around.

@risingfire, it's good to re-encounter the community too. In this thread alone, there's you, yerrag, Regina, Razvan, ilovethesea, @Luke, @Truth, and 'mister' @ThinPicking.
I asked because he could've explained the experiment on Twitter or elsewhere.

Hi. I remember you. If you felt defenseless and dispirited, that's what these gratuitous bans are for. They're meant to passivize and screen for docile members who are willing to obey. Without nullifying yourself or complying with abuses, you're happily discarded as problematic and unfit to be herded. It might be the first time that Kvothe was able to express his opinion without being pulverized.
But to each of you who have been banned, it's remarkable that you're here among us to recount the experience. You can now brag to your friends and Animal Planet that you're survivors of a lion attack. You can even build a new career on this, traveling the world as a motivational speakers.

Charles knows that powerful forces are after him since he discovered that toxic bile theory will free humanity from the enslavement of the satanic Retinoids.
-
He's the product of American religious lunacy that's been combined with right wing politics. They're always getting themselves whipped up into a frenzy that often ends in the formation of cults or militias that are preparing for some supposed showdown that is definitely happening within their lifetime.
It's all a substitute for personal transformation- the frustrating inability to climb to a more useful and healthy level of consciousness is projected onto a society level change. The need is so great these people will ignore any evidence to the contrary when it doesn't change the way they want.
