      Hello! Has anyone here ever tried and succeeded in eradicating malassezia fungus from the body and treated tinea versicolor and other ailments with natural substances?

        @zoro I thought Malassezia correlates with scalp issues. If not, let me know, but I've seen significant progress in my scalp and in white tongue by eating mushrooms with EVOO or coconut oil daily.

        Pre-cook mushrooms for 2-3 hours. I use the pressure cooker for 35-45 minutes. Then I freeze them, and then that them to sautée them later to eat.

          @zoro Hi, for tinea versicolor try Selsun which is Selenium Sufide suspension USP.
          It mustcontain 2.5%selenium sulfide.

          Apply and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before showering, if applying to the chest avoid nipple contact as it is very powerful for tinea versicolor.

          Let me know how it goes, please😇

            @secondkelping Hey, it seems that a certain strain is related to skin issues. I was diagnosed very young (14yo) and it was gone for a while. But seems to have come back in the last years. Was looking for a way to get rid of it internally. I will use your advice and the one below to see any results. Thanks!!

              @Not_James_Bond I used a tradicional soap when I first had it. I will make sure to look for this at the pharmacy. Thanks!!

                  @zoro No problem, you should see results from using it within a few days-One week😀

                    You should consider focusing on the gut. Reversed my seb derm completely focussing on tight junction function etc. I did the whole topical antifungals thing, and It worked for a bit, but then it started working against me. It might make sense if seb derm is afterall an autoimmune response to yeast you had up until a point inhabited the same organism with peacefully, that the more you try and push it out, the more aggressively it comes back

                    Carrot Salad, black seed oil, castor oil, psylium husk, and aloe vera gel are what got my gut back in shape again. I know, a lot of stuff there that is off the reservation, but when the bioenergetic stuff stops delivering, you look elsewhere. I am relatively certain antibiotics are what caused this for me anyways.

                      @CurmudgeonApple That's interesting, did you try L-Glutamine?

                        @Not_James_Bond i was eating a lot of meat with connective tissue and bone broths, beef gelatin, so i was getting plenty of L-Glutamine i imagine. There are some studies showing that L-Glutamine can repair tight junction function though, so it will probably be equally as effective

                            Yeah, that's kind of the thinking i have gravitated to as well. Just not the myopic throw probiotics at everything approach. I am drinking a marshmallow root concoction right now funnily enough 👍

                                  Can you share more about how you'd take each of those things? Just eat them throughout the day?

                                    The meat, or the other things i mentioned?

                                    I take the marshmallow root here and there throughout the day, aloe on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, carrot salad the same, castor and black seed oil a tsp here and there throughout the day, but usually before meals. Broths, meat etc with meals, or just as snacks, and the psyllium i usually take before meals.

                                    It's been better than Cascara for me in terms of bowel health(stung like hell. Watery cow patties) despite everything Peat claimed about soluble fiber, it's not been my experience. though, I always suspected Peat might have had gut permeability from his recreational use of antibiotics. Even a tiny dosage of a tetracyline can annihilate an entire population of niacin forming bacteria and oxalobacter. There is no such thing as a "safe" amount of antibiotic use IMO and i would be generally leery of anything Peat had to say about the gut. IME at least. YMMV
