Is Covid Still A Thing?

I've had covid 3 times and subsequently developed long covid. I was able to overcome long covid for the most part by using homeopathics, nicotine patches, iodine, chlorine dioxide, spore based probiotics, and other nutriceuticals. All that being said I now have lingering chronic sinusitus. So, I decided to visit an ENT doc yesterday (my first doctor visit in more than 10 years). He was very interested in my experiences with covid and told me that in all of his patients who contracted covid more than once, or developed long covid, 100% of them are poisoned with MYCOTOXIN. So, I left his office with antifungal scrips (and will also be taking MSM). He said we'll start with the antifungals and work our way from there. If the antifungals don't do the trick, I may need ozone IV treatments. I'll report back as things progress.

@S-Holmes i didn't get tested but i caught a fever around christmas 2022 which probably was covid. it was just a regular fever that knocked me on my ass for a day or two, but i lost my sense of taste and smell completely for 2 weeks, and while it came back, it never recovered fully. i also developed vision problems half a year to a year later which i think are sinus related. the one doctor i saw prescribed nothing remotely useful.
i've tried a few things on my own but nothing's had an effect. if there's any recovery, it's really slow.

@killchaos Flowers of sulphur is superior. And it could be helpful but don't take it too long because it depletes copper. But I don't think it has particular relevance in this situation. I would be careful with intestinal irritants, get enough zinc in the diet, and supplement vitamin D as the foremost preventative therapies.

@CO3 yeah i'm unsure then. i have several other symptoms i've had for way longer, like white tongue and acne. i definitely have some sort of intestinal problem and inflammation going on i'm trying to tackle alongside the covid stuff. i also have dark eyecircles and a sweet tooth for chocolate, which i'm guessing is my body wanting copper. so adding that sounds a bit dicey.

@killchaos How often do you have liver and/or oysters? i would try implementing those. I eat tons of chocolate, I try to find South American cacao chocolate without lecithin. Copper is important but can also be too high sometimes. It might be the other beneficial compounds in cacao causing this craving. Follow it!

@CO3 until recently, basically never. but i started eating beef liver a LOT more the past few weeks on a recommendation with the covid issues. i live very inland so no good source of oysters or seafood that isn't rancid. i suppose i should try and find a good source of cacao.
i've also been trying to figure out what's causing digestive issues in my diet as well. suspecting i can't handle coffee or cow milk, both pasteurized and raw, very well anymore. it might be that it's not A2 milk, but i have no replacement. -

@CO3 no, i think i've only been drinking whole milk pretty much until it started being an issue. is skim milk preferable?

I started a separate thread about spore based probiotics for gut and immune health. But just wondering if there's anyone else here who has tried those. I have taken them sporadically and the first time that I worked up to a full dose I felt fantastic. I recently decided to go back on them.
Spore based are more Peat friendly than regular probiotics, which aren't at all. They are essentially "timed release" so they don't populate your small intestine.

@S-Holmes Might be an interesting road to go down! I would tend towards antibiotics personally, and I think it's that aspect of probiotics that can be beneficial anyway (i.e. competition with other strains of bacteria that are more harmful)

@CO3 Definitely some uncharted waters here. I took boatloads of antibiotics from birth to adulthood. And now, like so many here, I'm being a lab rat. But I always remember the foundational RP principles. It's all about mitochondrial /cellular health. We can all agree on that.

Are you going to be using any kind of nasal sprays?
I've been exploring the whole mold/mycotoxin thing for a while, and the best practitioner that I have found on the topic is Evan Brand ( here's a podcast with him that I liked). I highly recommend that you check him out. He's not the "mold guy" per se, but he does talk about it alot. He also goes over things like SIBO, and parasites.
Anyways, he's treated a couple thousand patients at this point ( I think), so he is definitely a credible source on this topic. He mentioned that airborne mycotoxins are one of the biggest problems. However a good chunk of patients that he sees also have intestinal or nasal fungal colonies which also release mycotoxins.
From what I've learned from his videos and podcasts, an intranasal spray like Xlear Rescue would be a good idea as an anti-fungal, and also some binders to bind the mycotoxins. If you really want to attack this with all you've got, you could also get a urine mycotoxin test (which is like $300-500), which will really let you know which mycotoxins are the issue. Then you can buy the appropriate binders and try to clean them out that way.

I feel like that's certainly a possibility, since reducing bile absorption will increase fat-soluble mycotoxin elimination, assuming your bowels are moving quickly enough.

@brightside Wow! Im already taking several sups on his chart! Since I don't yet know exactly which fungi I'm plagued with, I'll use the scattergun approach. Will be more regular with the chitosan and chlorella, I now take 10 to 15 charcoal caps one or two nights a week, and sporebased probiotics daily. I may go back on a prebiotic and cascara sagrada for bowel health.

For what it's worth, I don't think that the chart is fully accurate, at least on the cholestyramine. I have never gotten benefits from charcoal, but a single dose of the cholestyramine will clear up my vision very dramatically for a day or so. According to the chart, CSM only binds ochratoxin, but I'm pretty sure that inhibiting bile absorption will eliminate more than just the ochratoxin. CSM probably just doesn't bind to the others directly.
