Selenium and NAC supplements are effective to treat mercury poisoning
-
I feel like this shows us that no matter what, the solutions to our problems are found in the natural world, in what has been provided for us by the universe/god/whatever 'it' is.
Maybe there rarely is a need for pharmaceutical drugs at all...

Wow, interesting!
500mcg is quite the dosage, although in this case probably the lesser issue.Heres another study on selenium beeing protective against heavy metals:
-
Selenium is very underrated, especially for the conversion of T4 to T3 and recycling of glutathion which improves overall oxidative stress, but even more now against heavy metals.

Effects on IQ however, may be just the tip
of the iceberg. As researchers point out, IQ
effects may be the easiest to quantify and
put a dollar value on, but they may not be
the most serious in terms of life and career
outcomes. Toxicants like methylmercury
that affect the nervous system, alter a
person’s ability to plan, organize and initiate
ideas and may induce problems with
attention, distractibility, impulsive behavior
and inability to handle stress and
disappointments. These effects could be far
more serious with respect to success in
school and lifeCharlie told me such problems are copper toxicity....
Methylmercury decreases the electrical
activity of neurons by interfering with the
transfer of sodium across the cell membrane.
It also blocks the release of calcium ions,
thus preventing the release of
neurotransmitters such as dopamine. (Figure
4.) Dopamine is a critical neurotransmitter
that is necessary for a wide variety of
functions such as attention, thinking and
motor skills.![alt text]( image url)
This has just left me speechless. We put this stuff in vaccines......

@questforhealth You may have completely emptied your selenium reserves by following Charlie's funny advice lol
-
Pretty sure I’ve always had mercury poisoning. Not a joke. Not listening to Charlie again.
