AI bubble is already over. Next pandemic soon?

This AI summer was so brief. Now the stock market is firmly on the downward trend. Seems like it is time for the next stage of quantitative easing, artificial food, remote learning, and artificial food. Fuel rationing for climate lockdowns and war. Judging from how many bought into the new normal last time, there is no reason to think there will be any significant resistance.
-
@psi there was some counter culture uprising from this (& more clarity on origin and side effects, even in congress e.g from rand paul) so more awareness, so the next might not be so accepted. if a miracle happens and rfk jr wins to drastically strip positions & create new structure there might not be another push for a while, but not the likeliest outcome . then there's still the inevitable economic downturn part of the cycle (already underway)
Maybe good to stock up on a bunch of EAA powders if not much space for a lot of meat, not the best but an option in mass meat scarcity / protein deficiency (economics aside maybe an outbreak will be focused on animals next)

@cs3000 I noticed egg shortages, and ice age farmer reported on new oppressive laws against small scale animal farming. I don't like the prepper mindset, as it's too individualistic and defeatist. If the fear goes away, we can move into the new era. The change must come from young energy instead of old politicians. A new nomadic culture of pirates.

The Bird Flu Summit is in October
This is a global conference iircSound familiar?
-
@psi I noticed in my life that many who were submissive under the first pandemic changed their minds on it all once the whole thing ended. I seriously think they'd buy into it again though and just pretend they never knew any better.

It's not over but the PR's damaged. Nooticing and conversation's probably had a lot to do with it. Even those in "private" probably carry.
Check out Schmidt's recent spot at Stanford for unhinged projections.

A cartoon bullet hole in the corporate veil so it bleeds capital and remembers mortality. Maybe not yet. Never say never.

Cheer up @psi.

Same.

Maybe. But maybe there are other reasons for their compliance. Maybe they just need a reason. A reason for what. Exactly.

@Milk-Destroyer the UK is sending troops to Russia now. Small numbers under 2,000. Likely to be a part of the new narrative. A lot worse to be drafted than to be locked down, so choose the navy or the air force
-
@ThinPicking I'm not actually upset about it. I just want something to happen. I don't think the industry can implement their vision of control. I expect a big breakdown and renaissance of simple communal living. Anything that gets people's out of their displays is good.

Officially. No it isn't.
And HMGs ability to summon for a foreign operation is doubtful at best. No matter the story around it.
Keep dooming out of your arse and something will certainly happen.
-
The whole thing has a fake flare to it. Not much actual fighting is happening.
Dooming didn't work out during the last "crisis". I thought it was a coverup for something bigger, but things returned to normal and now I'm embarrassed

@psi two more weeks bro

I understand this appearance but warfare's unnatural. Maybe hard to believe but it's true. There's a lot of brinkmanship, apparent peace in flashpoints until there isn't. Again and again. And many interests that want to maintain a situation like this.
Read through the Ukraine thread on RPF for wider context and one of many possible outcomes. Ignore the cheerleading, much of it twitter reposts. You're a piece of what happens, believe it or not.

Thank God for contrary voices. They all matter. Probably. Cheer up and make best, just spare some attention if you can. Too many people in bubbles and tunnels won't end well.

@psi We shall see I suppose. I could be exempt depending on what rules they apply to the draft.
