      Interesting thread this.

@CrumblingCookie, What type of hyaluronic acid do you use?

I have a bottle of 0.02% hyaluronic acid eye drops, and that's a far cry from the 0.2% and 0.8% solution they apply topically in the research article provided by @DavidPS.

I use about 100-200mg of "low molecular weight" HA powder but those relative descriptions refer to very different kDa molecule sizes.
IMO +-100,000 kDA would be best. There appears to be also a sweet spot for HA at 35,000 kDa in studies which could not be replicated by 17,000 or 70,000 kDA. By what I've read, ultra-low molecular weight HA lower than that are not very beneficial. Bigger kDa can be broken down into smaller fragments by tissue enzymes, though, and that's what happens naturally all the time anyways (large HA being broken down to small fragments of different properties).
The mucosal uptake threshold probably lies at about 1000 kDa (1 MDa); sizes between 300-500 kDa appear to be taken up without issue whereas sizes of 2000 kDa (2MDa) are too big for uptake without prior degradation by e.g. intestinal bacteria.

Thanks for the reply. This looks like a great product. It does have different ingredients from the one I was looking for, although then name is the same. Perhaps this tea is safer to sell. Some of the ingredients in the old formula are more controversial and probably more effective.

Hi @Mossy and @PeatingOct2013, I see he now has it in stock on his new website, too:

            https://handcraftedbotanicalformulas.com/product/heal-all-tea-7oz-loose-blend/

I’m really sorry to hear you had your typical bad reaction to it, Mossy. Did you swallow it or did you also try using it as a mouth rinse—not sure if the tiny amount ingested would also be problematic?

Thank you for your concern. I made a tea with it; so, consumed about 8 ounces or so. When I try it again, I will only rinse with it. First as a tea, then maybe a tincture. My intolerant system is still an enigma to me, though I can guess it's gut and liver, as they pertain to digestion and processing (for lack of a more accurate word).

Ah, I had forgotten about the two different ingredients lists. Maybe you are right about some of the ingredients being more effective; it would be interesting to hear if someone has tried both.

I think that’s a solid plan, @Mossy. Fingers crossed your intolerant system is tolerant to the rinse. I’d hate for you to suffer another reaction. 😞

I wonder if the difference in formulations has to do with the pandemic aftermath and availability of the herbs or…I’m almost sure he sent an email announcing the new website and in it was a video where he talked about selling the original line to the company that had supplied his herbs and that he was coming out with a new line—Dr. Morse’s Hancrafted Botanical Formulas—so maybe one formula is a leftover from when he owned it and the other its new owner?

Thank you for the well wishes. I think that is a good guess. So, @PeatingOct2013, may be tough to get the exact combination you're looking for from Dr. Morse.

P.S. @Jennifer, thanks for the subtle grammar lesson: intolerant, not intolerable.

P.P.S. How many years did you use your old avatar? Was a little thrown off by the new one.

Oh, I didn’t even realize I had done that. Intolerable seems appropriate, too. I know I found my intolerant system intolerable, at times. Haha!

I’ve been using that avatar for about a decade—it’s my favorite climb—but I switch it out from time to time like after my mum passed away, for a while, I had a pic of her and I. I tried uploading this pic of me in the burnt orange dress I used before leaving the RPF, but it wouldn’t upload when I last tried. It matches my profile’s fall theme. lol

Haha. Ok, maybe both will work, but I tend to think intolerant system is more accurate than intolerable system. But hey, we'll go with either.

There you go! Fall themed, but still Jennifer.
