Does anyone here use blotting toothbrushes?
I have tried those, but it was too time-consuming and tedious of a process. I now use a water-floss device instead.
Dandruff or scalp irritation? Try BLOO.

@Mossy Thanks a lot for the posts, great info! From what I've read N-HA seems to be the better of the two with most studies being done on it. Unfortunately most brands you have on amazon are not avaliable in my country, might be buying the powder! Thanks once again.
You're welcome. I have read the same from studies, that the nHA was considered more effective, but I am not comfortable with nano-particles, based on Peat's and other's comments. From the same company I linked prior, here is a pretty thorough write-up on particle size. I realize they have a vested interest in showing the efficacy of non-nano, but you may find this helpful. Good luck.

@voldtzeig I've not been able to conclude with certainty which is the best, nano (nHA) or non-nano (HA). After some general research online, as well as considering Peat's comments on nano particles, I've opted for HA. You can buy just the powder and add it to the toothpaste of your choice. Maybe there is an advantage to an nHA/HA formulated toothpaste, versus adding the nHA/HA to an already formulated combination of ingredients. Just a thought; not saying I know this to be true. There are two companies I know where the general consumer can buy just the powder (HA), which they name MCHA (microcrystalline hydroxyapatite). I could guess the US company ships to Europe, looks like the Australian company ships all over the world:
Small amount (80grams), shops from the US: https://store.orawellness.com/products/mcha-bulk-bag\
Large amount (1kg), ships from Australia:

@S-Holmes said in Conditional problems with vitamin A: a place for sane discussions:
Most here are familiar with RP's discovery that a daily carrot salad made him feel better. Some think it was because of the "colon sweeping" effect, but if that were the case, wouldn't charcoal have the same effect? Could it be because Beta carotene is an effective modulator of the gut biome?
I can share, anecdotally, that carrot salad always helps me, charcoal does not, with regard to transit time and moving the train down the tracks. I believe the carrot salad's effectiveness is due to the mere mechanics of the fibrous carrot moving through your system. At least that is how it feels to me.
@questforhealth It's definitely not my desire to question what troubles and difficulties anyone has endured and which has hindered them from being in the win column. My challenge to this original statement and those who can relate through hardship to the seemingly predestined factors of life, is that the application of discipline, in and of itself, has value – regardless of what the outcome may be.
Discipline is quite obviously a choice, e.g., my choice to be on this forum and not sleeping and preparing for a more productive work day tomorrow. That which is not a choice, is the outcome from the application of discipline. And I can see only one way to determine whether a person is one who wins or is just a supporting player – discipline.
@Chud Thank you. Will look for this.
@fd I am none of the medical minds that frequent these forums with their sage advice, but I can offer up my anecdotal experience.
It was impossible for me to gain weight and keep it on until my late 40's, which coincidentally is when I started Peating. If there is a single consistent contributor to weight gain for me, I would say it's milk. Though, it's not only muscle but visceral fat gain as well. If I were to work out and be more active, I think that would reduce to a large degree. Actually, on this same loose version of a Peat diet, when I had an active job, I was about 12-15lbs lighter, which would still be considered naturally muscular and fit. Keyword is "natural" here.
Also, a key contributor all through out my life is creatine, which never failed to put weight and muscle gain on me — if I worked out —, albeit with a bit of water gain, but not much. I can't make any scientific and qualified statements about creatine beyond the fact that it worked for me. And, I don't know the Peat stance on creatine either; so, I'm not certain if it's Peat approved.
@Mauritio Thanks for bringing this thread over from RPF.
I had to stop with the apple powder I bought (Malus pumila) from Bulk Supplements, as it was causing the typical malaise I get from supplements. I'll probably use it as a topical on my scalp. I may try the Swanson apple polyphenols you're taking at some point.
