I have a 3cm hiatal hernia, chronic gastritis, hemorrhaged tissue in my stomach, chronic duodenitis, negative for h pylori, minimal to no gas, little/no bloating, but extreme constant acid reflux, belching, nausea upon eating, and an intense, abnormal connection with my stomach. Georgi posted a study about bromocriptine being used with better success than PPIs for treating ulcers, they used a high dose of 2.5mg twice daily for 4 weeks. Ray has pointed out that prolonged use of bromocriptine can lead to heart valve fibrosis, I believe because of its agonism of 5-ht2. What dose of cyproheptadine could be used in tandem with bromocriptine, without interfering with bromocriptine's dopamine agonism? Dopamine agonists suppress stomach acid secretion, but there is no way they are as effective as something that irreversibly binds to proton pumps, right? So it has to be acting through other mechanisms, don't want to interfere with that as much as possible.
