Believe it or not, I believe I get sides from topical taurine, which are the same sides I get from taking it internally, which is fatigue and lethargy,
Taurine is a muscle stimulant but also a mind relaxer. It improves your length and deepness of sleep, I've tested it, it works almost too good. That's why you get lethargic on it. People (myself included) also use it in pre-workouts, it is supposed to help with performance and recovery.
Taurine is also a common ingredient in hair growth shampoos, it's in Bloo and some others I've seen. It is known to help with hair growth. I'm using it in my homemade shampoo.
I've been trying to add it to my drinks more often, just sprinkle a little in there. I have to do a large dose to make me feel lethargic, but I've found even smaller doses help with sleep.
Update on diclofenac: Too early to say still, but I swear my vellus hairs are getting thicker in number and longer and some are going terminal in areas where I haven't had terminal hairs in a long time. The biggest changes to my routine has been the diclofenac, some hair growth supplements, and using a gua sha stone pretty vigorously.
I'm gonna add MSM into my routine to thicken the vellus hair, topical and oral. Also saw palmetto topical and oral.

@Hearthfire
I have experienced all that you say with taurine, but regardless of the dose, I'll get the same side effects. You're fortunate, and like most who report on their experience, that it is beneficial in multiple ways.Glad to hear the diclofenac is doing well. I have MSM on my long lists of things, but once again I've only gotten sides from that in the past.

after everything, this became my final regimen
dermastamp once a week, 2.5mm
Topically a rosemary/mint ethanol tincture
-
@wester130 0.5mm is supposed to be better. Why 2.5mm? sounds painful
I could barely tolerate 2mm
-
@Hearthfire I read the deeper ones are better for regrowth
-
@wester130 I am told rosemary causes endless sheds and peppermint is better
-
@Hearthfire it's only about 12 stamps, and it is done, quite easy
-
@sushi_is_cringe i don't know, I think minoxidil causes endless shedding because the body rejects, but rosemary does not
-
@wester130 Minoxidil does not cause endless shedding. Neither does rosemary. Rosemary is superior to peppermint for regrowth.
-
@sushi_is_cringe They're not. It's been studied. 0.5mm produces the best results https://youtu.be/LxHNpkIKW0E?feature=shared&t=601
-
@Hearthfire both your responses contradict info from a coach i know who has dozens of clients with giga hair regrowth recovery proof
-
@Hearthfire maybe 0.5 better for of head and deeper for front
-
I think it works, but from what actual human studies have shown and from what I've seen online from the overwhelming amount of people providing testimony of things that have worked, rosemary is on top. It's not even close.
I'm gonna need a little more than some random coach you know to prove that it's more effective than rosemary. I think rosemary and peppermint works synergistically, along with other oils like tea tree oil, as they all have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, along with the ability to increase blood flow to the scalp etc. Mix them all into castor oil. A lot of people have had incredible results with just castor + rosemary.
No reason to box yourself off to just one.

The studies showed 0.5mm is best, but Perfect Hair Health recommends 0.5 to 0.8. Best to stay under 1mm probably, although I've seen some people who did seriously gory wounding on their head with microneedling and had unbelievably good results after, so I don't know if the studies fully capture the full picture, and different people might respond differently. Just gotta experiment I guess.

@Hearthfire not random, ive actually posted pics of multiple regrowths on a previous account and can't remember if I deleted the post or not, it was a few months ago.
-
@sushi_is_cringe I'd be interested in seeing that if you can find it. No worries though. We agree it works, I just think rosemary edges it out.
