    Hello,

    In the past two luteal phases of my menstrual cycle, I've gotten a yeast infection. I'm very unsure as to what's causing it so I'm hoping someone here could help me figure it out!

    Symptoms: A burning feeling during intercourse, intense swelling around the vulva after the fact (lasts a couple of hours). There's light pain during urination, but the pain is worse after intercourse. Generally, light irritation felt throughout the day around the vulva. There's no odor, and the discharge is mostly normal, but just for one instance, it was thick and white. Urine looks the same as usual.

    Context:

    1. I've only been semi-regularly sexually active in the past 6 months. I'm 26 years old and have lived most of my life with chronic stress, so I know that my nervous system and hormones were and are out of whack from the get-go.

    2. MCT oil is used as a lubricant and progest-e as a contraceptive (applied inside the vaginal walls). Because of the cold climate where I'm from, I wear tight clothing (leggings and a pair of pants on top), but I've done so for as long as I remember, every winter. My underwear is always cotton. Yesterday, I got knee-high socks to stop wearing leggings, in an attempt to loosen my clothes.

    Treatments I tried: aspirin, drinking kefir, and applying more progest-e (on my gums). I cycled progest-e and aspirin during the first infection, then stopped when the symptoms went away. For the second round, I took aspirin daily, drank kefir daily, but would forget to take the progest-e. But I still have the infection. Maybe the first one never went away?

    If someone has any idea what could be causing this, or recommendations as to what I should take or change, please let me know. Thank you. 🐝

      Hi,
      I see 3 causes:
      Excess cortisol (stress), pill (estrogen).
      Lack of iodine.

            @LucH I don't use a contraceptive pill, I use the Kenogen Progest-e Complex Oil

              OK.
              Get informed about Lynne Farrow and her book on iodine.

                  Youtube Video – [30:27..]

                  For yeast overgrowth the mushrooms and carrot sometimes is enough but flowers of sulfur just a pinch of it will clear up a yeast infection pretty quickly usually. 30:45Is that just once? Just two or three days will usually eliminate a yeast infection

                  Have you tried the carrot salad?

                      @sushi_is_cringe the luteal phase in women is when progesterone is highest. progesterone opposes estrogen and prevents ovulation. you could pick a katharina dalton book like Once A Month and it'll all be there. ray was of the opinion women can just take progesterone and remain in the luteal phase indefinitely, until you maybe you wanna conceive and then you'd eat something with vegetable oil (estrogenic) to induce your period

                            Almost no one in the developed world nowadays is iodine deficient. If anything most people get too much iodine from iodinated salt. Ray spoke about this.
