Has anyone seen the Lumen CO2 detector? (linked)

This is a device that measures the CO2 on your breath. I remember Ray had said that doctors used to have these in their offices. I think it can detect hypothyroidism.
Anyways, seems like an interesting way to measure the effect a food or supplement is having on your metabolism. Has anyone tried this product before?

Been in the market for years already. While it measures CO2, it only does so to make it only useful for the maker to determine if you burn more carbs or fat relative to the norm. It's been years since I looked into it, so my impression may be off.
I had remarked in the old forum then that if one could develop software to communicate with the device, it could be made more useful as a capnometer.
Back then, capnometers were much more expensive. But now, a capnometer can be had for about $300. Still costly, but being able to get data such as the tidal CO2 could be helpful if one were interested in knowing if he makes enough CO2 which could be used as an indicator for metabolic health..
I had thought of buying one, but I didn't find the reason to buy one compelling enough. Besides, not many people here like to buy gadgets. So if I bought one, I have only myself to discover and share my findings with. A lot of people here would rather spend on supplements and substances, and model their approach towards Ray Peat's way, where they would rely on their feel instead of gadgets to monitor themselves.

@yerrag Thanks for the context. I think a capnometer would be really cool and useful. Especially considering I don't feel a lot from most supplements.
Do you know of a good one that would be in the $300 range? The generic one I saw on Amazon and Ebay has bad reviews.

Amazon has the Contec branded capnograph. It is sold in Asia as not limited to pet use, but in the US it is sold as a pet device.

Contec makes many other good medical devices, but this is its first capnograph afaik. I haven't used it, so I can't vouch for it.
It's likely you'll have to go solo figuring out how to make good use of it in the bioenergetic space. It's worth a shot if it can help you monitor your metabolic condition.
I'm not in a hurry to get one as I have one device I bought 3 years ago and haven't begun using.
