The board has entrusted Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe with Schwab's duties on an interim basis.
I was thinking Tony Blair might be named as a more permanent replacement. But I do not know how these things work. Will there be a WEF conclave to decide his successor?

It is a strange coincidence that Pope Francis died on the same day that Klaus loses his control over WEF. Both men were 88 years old.

Another oddity surrounding his death is the facial hematoma associated with his head trauma. It appears to have been a great fall.

WEF is in the process of rebranding itself as a kinder organization. It has a 500 million dollar budget so it does not appear to be going away.
