@mightycoomer Try 5-HT1A agonists like Albizia julibrissin bark extract, limonene (lemon oil) and linalool (lavander oil). Linalool is also a D2 dopamine agonist, pro-GABA and pro-BDNF. All 3 are anti-cortisol. Magnolia officinalis extract is pro-GABA and cannabinoid (CB1 and CB2) anti-stress relaxant. Agmatine is an α2-adrenergic which is pro-GABA and directly mitigates adrenalines α1-adrenergic receptor effects, it's also anti-cortisol and boosts allopregnenolone. Polygala tenuiflora is a great all-round anti-stress botanical.

Use pure therapeutic grade essential oils, diluted in coconut/olive oil in a capsule.

Aspirin (plus vit. K2) is also a decent option...

In addition to the posts above, here are some things to consider:

                      • BCAA + L-phenylalanine
                        • Depleting Serotonin With BCAA
                        • Tryptophan (serotonin) Depletion In Brain (and Elsewhere)
                      • Ginger
                        • Ginger/6-shogoal Strong Anti-serotonin Effect, Pro-dopamine And Test Booster
                        • Ginger dose dependantly increases MAO-A, SERT and lowers Tryptophan hydroxylase 1 & 2 in gut and brainstem

Gut irritation increases serotonin so paying attention to how different foods affect your gut function is likely to help.

Estrogen also increases serotonin. Fiber helps get rid of estrogen, but I don't remember if it was insoluble or soluble fiber, or both, that does this.

You can probably find more about gut health and estrogen, and also serotonin, on this forum and from the older posts (before 2024, I think) of the lowtoxinforum.
