I was pretty reckless before with supplementing, I remember drinking iodine at some point. That was a long time ago. But, I’m sure I’ve gotten a lot more with the iodized salt and iodine-rich foods over time. Anyways, I had an oligoscan done and the iodine is like off the charts. I notice when I drink milk, my thyroid gets sore. Is there a feasible way to fix this?

I’m hypothyroid so I’m not gonna be making good use of it. I suppose the accumulation will be more severe

It seems to provide some protection against thyroid damage, but it still doesn’t address the high iodine content in my body

the high iodine content in my body

            Hi,
If it's still in the intestines, charcoal will chelate iodine. But it's probably too late.
Avoid processed food in general and specifically with seafood (< 50 mcg).
The overactive cells absorb most of the iodine in your bloodstream. Any excess amount will leave the body within a few weeks to months, according to the info I read.
Selenium 100 mcg is still useful as antioxidant (+ protective for thyroid).
Note: Iodine leaves the body in your urine in a few weeks to months. Small amounts of iodine can also leave your body in sweat (through exercise).

For other readers; Remind that when you supplement with iodine, we take first selenium. We need staples 10-15 days with 200-250 mcg iodine to open the receptors., before taking a higher dose (12.5 mg), and see then how we react ...

                Well seen, 👍
sulforaphane enhances detoxification activity in the body by inducing enzymes involved in metabolism of harmful toxins by the liver.
Protective effects of sulforaphane against toxic substances and contaminants
                https://doi.org/10.1016/j.phymed.2024.155731
                Excerpt (SFN = sulforaphane):
SFN exerts its protective effects by activating the Nrf2 pathway, which enhances antioxidant defenses and reduces oxidative stress. It also suppresses inflammation by decreasing interleukin production. Moreover, SFN inhibits apoptosis by preventing caspase 3 cleavage and increasing Bcl2 levels. Overall, SFN demonstrates multifaceted mechanisms to counteract the adverse effects of toxic agents.

Note: Once a week I mix 2 potatoes with frozen small heads of broccoli + one egg yolk and spices. No need to cook broccoli. After 5' I cut the pieces in 4 with a sharp kitchen knife. Try to get the least long foot / trunk (small heads).

@winters2 According to Dr Allan Christianson, it just takes time spent eating a low iodine diet, perhaps a few months.

He has a book about all this called The Thyroid Reset Diet, which is about reversing Hashimoto's by eating an iodine deficient diet for maybe 3 months. (Although it has not been a miracle cure for me)

I made a thread about this here with some info, if you haven't seen it: https://bioenergetic.forum/topic/3927/iodine-too-much

Add selenium to your diet you are probably deficient. Causing iodine to be unable to do anything
