@Samyo
Hi,
The best way is with ascorbic acid.
Need to get informed on MMC (postprandial movement). Lazzy bowel transit.
How much fiber: 30 g / 1 oz ? -
@Samyo It's not supposed to work like you're taking pharma drugs, where you've been conditioned to have instant results.
From a point of having very little magnesium stores, and to build them up to sufficiency, I had to take about 800mg therapeutic dose of elemental magnesium daily for a year.
I didn't have to take a test to see if I have magnesium insufficiency, as it was obvious to me that I'm insufficient in it. I've never eaten enough magnesium rich foods in my entire lifetime then, and even if I were wrong about it and I had more than enough magnesium, taking magnesium orally would just lead to it being excreted fecally with diarrhea, as too much magnesium can be fatal, but taking magnesium orally would be safe as the body will sense that and excrete it to keep it from being absorbed enterically. As long as you're not injecting the magnesium supplement, your body will keep you safe from magnesium overdose.
And after that period, when I felt ready, I dropped my lifelong reliance on having a lot of soluble fiber, mostly from having soluble fiber-rich fruits, to test if indeed the magnesium can provide energy to the gut muscles to provide bowel movement autonomically to power peristalsis.
And it did. And I have since relied on this to power bowel movement and not on endotoxin- and serotonin- from bacteria in soluble fiber - to make my bowels move.
The timeframe may be shorter, but I'm patient enough to wait one year. Some planning is needed, as well as patience, to make it happen.
Still, that may not be enough if you have low metabolism to begin with, and you aren't working simultaneously to increase your metabolism while improving your magnesium stores, as magnesium, in order to be stored and not excreted, has to be complexed with an abundance of ATP that only comes from having good metabolism from mitochondrial phosphorylation.

If large dosages of magnesium oxide or magnesium sulphate don't give you the shits then you could be hypothyroid.
