Vit e causing heart pain

Was getting bad pain in my heart after taking 1000iu almost everyday - this went on for about two weeks
Not sure why.
I’m no longer going to take vit e that often
The source I have says it is extracted from olive oil leafs or something
Although it could be rancid -
