      well? this is a thought I've had from seeing people who go deep into buddhism and end up talking / looking schizo.

        I got this thought after seeing people meditating super hard for years and now look kind of neurotic and speak in kind of word salad

          Yes, I think you're on to something. It's just nihilism formalized into a religion, which Nietzsche talks about extensively. Buddhism is the spiritual equivalent of a lobotomy, accomplishing the same thing that serotonergic/psychadelic drugs do chemically.
