Sometimes I am awake when it happens and I end up having bad thoughts and not falling asleep, other times I am asleep when it happens and I end up sleeping through it but feeling very unrested when waking up. I tried 0.5mg and 1mg cypro but while it did have an noticeable effect I didn't really feel like it was really solving the problem. I also had restless leg syndrome but that went away with S. Boullardi/activated charcoal. Only happens at night, at day I am usually pretty dapper and happy.

Diet is very low starch and fat, mostly sugar, orange juice, milk.

From what I know the bad thoughts and not falling asleep are more associated with cortisol than serotonin. You could try having some simple carbs, like milk and sugar or dates with butter, or whatever you have access to and does not fill the stomach too much. If cortisol is the culprit, then the carbs might be able to suppress it.

I also think that noradrenaline can cause unpleasant dreams or sleep. I had an experience in which blocking noradrenaline led to an unbelievably intense and outrageously pleasurable dream.

I sometimes have anxious, depressed, fearful, inappropriate thoughts at night. They manifest as hypnic jerks a lot of times. I attribute them to unexcreted estrogen. Eating enough fiber seems to help.

            Hi,

            1. Need polyphenols and meat to change the type of phyla.
            2. I'd give a try with EFT when feeling in a wrong mood or having inappropriate "sensations" ...

@jamezb46 Are you sure? I am still very sleepy, I just hover slightly above falling asleep instead of falling asleep completely. With cortisol I associate a, how to say, higher energy kind of restlessness.

When I am in this state I drink a tincture of sugar, salt, gelatine and L-Theanine and that relaxes me enough to fall asleep, with I think the gelatine and L-Theanine doing the heavy lifting, but the sleep afterwards is still not restful.

                Make a google search with:
