Keep coping with cyproheptadine
-
Yea for sure it nukes serotonin but for like 5 hours and the next day you wake up like you down a whole bottle of tequila.
The only way to nuke serotonin forever is through gut cleansing, tianeptine, low starch, thyroid and low dose LSD. Rest of it is like pouring a glass of water on a forest fire.
If you went to some high serotonin shit like public school (and most priv schools) , worked a wagecelling job , rotted at home etc . you should forget everything else and Nuke serotonin first

Been on cyproheptadine and similar anti-histamines for almost 20 years. No side effects like what you describe. I had the drowsiness for a while as a kid, but never anymore. If you get bad side-effects from cypro but need anti-histamines just get cetrizine or ketotifen or some shit. If it makes you feel worse then by all means, don't take it, but that hardly translates to other people.

@NangaParbat tbf I think you’re the exception rather than the rule. Everywhere on Reddit people describe drowsiness lasting well into the next morning and they weren’t taking anything more than 4 mg. I’ve gone as low as 0.25 mg and still experienced the same effects. I’ve been on cypro on and off for 18 months. I think it’s time to acknowledge that while it’s a great 5 ht2 antagonist it does very little on other receptors afaik and even low dose LSD is a much better way to reduce serotonin in the brain . Cypro does work on already pretty healthy people but for the middle of bell curve where most people fall it does relatively little. Tia is definitely not something to be played with but it’s serotonin antagonism is far superior and on the same level as LSD microdosed. Maybe ritanserin should be considered more seriously than cypro in the Peat sphere ( dk much about it tho).

@the-MOUSE not sure about high doses. Low dose does.
