how to work Glutes without looking like a fagg?
-
@Aryan_Racist Just stick with RDL's, Conventional Deadlifts and Heavy bellow parallel squats and you should be fine with glute development. Why would you think about leg curls when it comes to glute development tho?
-
@Aryan_Racist squat & deadlift, I don’t see the point to isolate glutes unless you’re a girl
-
Bromley had a pretty good video on working glutes.
-
@Arvidivs @skylark I'm gonna start incorporating RDLs. My legs are decent sized but I suffer from endless back disease so I look like I skip leg day. @sztrapacska I'm gonna check that video out in a minute but I don't want ppl at my gym to think I'm gay, there are tons of latinx there and I have this feeling that many are DL.
-
@Aryan_Racist another tip: stop giving a fuck about what people will think about you. As you progress in your lifting journey, people will most likely think you got some pieces missing in your brain and that's okay lmao.
-
@Arvidivs thanks man. Why do u say this? People will think you're crazy for being aesthetic and striving towards kalokagathia?
-
@Aryan_Racist they just can't comprehend true passion.
-
@Arvidivs people call it obsession to knock down anything you do well. Females and low-T males love to confuse passion for obsession...
-
@Aryan_Racist Hi, I suggest that calling it an "obsession" has a dismissive connotation and is not useful in many cases
Yet for a part of people the tendency to work out can be motivated by a feeling of lack of strength, lack of serenity, lack of aestheticism(head and body), lack of masculinity, among other things,
working out doesn't necessarily improve these aspects, and potentially for a part of people it reduces energy, reduces serenity, reduces masculinity, reduces well-being, increases the focus on the smallest detail of the body and the potential dissatisfaction and negative emotions that result from it
Beyond a certain muscle volume relative to our body, it can also make us look less athletic, less aesthetic, and less intelligent
-
Leg curls don't work glutes, glutes are primarily for hip extension, not knee flexion (hamstrings). The best accessible exercise would probably be split squats since it will force activation of the glute medius since it's a single-leg movement. Next would be heavy sled drags (dragging/pulling not pushing) in an upright/walking position. Humans have relatively large glutes (compared to other apes) due to upright posture and the glutes being utilized at the end range of hip extension --which is what occurs while walking.
Barbell squats and deadlifts are terrible exercises, yes you can get stronger with them and put on muscle but you will always have to contort your body slightly to fit the path of the bar. This leaves the door open for injuries and asymmetries especially since they are bilateral.
Last, you shouldn't care what people think about you in the gym. Glutes are probably one of the top 3 muscles that women look for in men. It shows that you are strong, agile, fast, and can also thrust your member deep into her. If that somehow makes you a fag idk what to say
-
@Aryan_Racist I think what's keeping you back is the fact that you look like a fag
-
@Truth that's a whole lot of cope. Are you from India by chance? Lmao
-
@Arvidivs What's a cope, you coping? I'm not from India

@Arvidivs It's factual and elementary, beyond a certain volume of muscle relative to body size and/or bone structure, it makes the individual appear less athletic, less aesthetic, potentially less intelligent, you still don't know that you don't know
You seem to project your own tendencies onto others, I have no use for finding "excuses", specifically when I don't consider it sub-optimal, if you believe that there is no limit and that as much muscle as possible is optimal in terms of athleticism, aesthetics (from women's perspective, not the men who comment on your body), making you look intelligent, and/or that it can't reduce these attributes, you're wrong, you don't know that you don't know
"Pajeet" lolol you are ridiculous, i report you
-
Lunges, wide squats, rdl, bulgarian split squat (sounds peaty) and good mornings to some degree. Get strong in those exercises and you'll grow your glutes and the rest of your legs. Make sure to focus on the hip hinge part of the excercise.
If that doesn't work just embrace it and do some hip thrusters. Better to have glutes than no glutes, brother.

@Truth I don't think you know what you're talking about. Making an exception for professional bodybuilders using a comical amount of drugs, developing a great natural physique (yours is not a good example) will, in fact, make you look more athletic, aesthetic and even intelligent for one needs to study and practice a lot to develop an impressive and strong body. Joshua Kenyon is a great example in this case, if you tell me his physique is ugly and that he looks dumb, you're most likely a midwit resentful of people who pushed further than you. And honestly, women opinion on your looks is completely gay to care about, you should it to no one other than yourself. Not to say your statement is wrong as women tend to be more attracted to stronger and bigger males. Their sayings are completely different from their behavior around such types of men.
-
@Arvidivs On what I commented on this post, I know what I'm talking about, better than you for sure
I don't know Josua Kenyon( I wish him the best), if you think his physique and/or muscle volume is optimal in terms of athleticism, aesthetics, and perceived intelligence, you're wrong
"you're most likely a midwit resentful of people who pushed further than you"
It's you who is clearly being resentful and of limited intelligence at the moment, I don't "push", there's no point in "pushing", also i wish the best to others including those who do body building and have big muscle volume
Lolol "women opinion on your looks is completly gay to Care about", so that implies that according to you the opinion that matters is those of other men(free to you),
or just our own opinion, if it's just our own opinion according to you, why do the majority of people who do body building and try to have a big muscular volume, do it, just to look at themselves in the mirror regardless of other people's perception, so you think that if everybody wouldnt care about muscular volume and/or that one man would be the only person on earth, he would still do body building and try to have a big muscular volume for his own perception and/or for his own "health" and "energy"? Lolol nonsense
I'm attaching Joshua's images for reference:

@Truth Yes, opinion of other men matter more than from women, they can relate to you since training is a masculine activity and there's nothing gay about it, masculine circles are something common even before recorded history. And yes, ideally, you should train for yourself because external factors won't give enough discipline to dedicate yourself on training and I think that's why you're pencilneck btw.
You talk so much about athleticism and functionality but, as it shows, you didn't train hard enough to get big and see for yourself if it is as dysfunctional as you like to affirm. The existence of athletes such as Mike Tyson and Alexander Karelin is enough to prove you wrong as they were strong, flexible and agile during their careers and they were heavyweights and there's a big chance they were on roids too. -

Fellas, examples are worth more than any yapping. You guys can tell me if Joshua (shown in the images above) doesn't look aesthetic and athletic.
