Buying Thyroid in Mexico
-
I'll be near the Us-Mexican border soon; can I just walk across the border, go to a Mexican pharmacy and buy some cynomel/cynoplus and then carry it on me as I cross back into the US? Has anyone done this before and experienced any difficulties?

@disfrutarlo are you trying to get thrown into an el Salvadorian internment camp?

T3/T4 is quite a rare product, most doctors prescribe T4 only, so I suspect that it wouldn't be found in a lot of places

@alfredoolivas Where do people who live in Mexico, like Danny etc., buy their thyroid then? Are certain pharmacies, like Farmacia Similares vs. Farmacias del Ahorro more likely to have it in stock than others?
If anyone here has bought thyroid in person in mexico before knows than I would appreciate if you would chip in.

When I was in Mexico City, I tried going to a pharmacy and stocking up on cynomel and cynoplus but the pharmacist told me I needed a prescription. I've heard some places have a doctor nearby that will prescribe whatever you needed but I didn't ask since I usually get it from meds.com.mx I figured I'd just get it once I got back home.

So i guess it's wrong what people say about thyroid being over the counter in mexico? Looks like there's a lot of false information going around. If I do end up going down to Mexico to try to buy some I'll post a report here on how it went to try to help out other people in the same situation.

@disfrutarlo probably depends on which pharmacy you go to and your aura presentation when approaching the pharmacist
