Road to the 2024 US Presidential Election
The United States is nearly five months away from a presidential election that continues to defy historical norms. President Joe Biden has the lowest level of support of any incumbent in modern history. His opponent, former President Donald Trump, is currently on trial in New York facing 34 felony counts.
At this point, there are a number of indicators that suggest turnout in November will be lower than in the last three elections. The most obvious is the lack of enthusiasm about a Biden vs. Trump rematch. At the beginning of the campaign, 59% of voters thought that both candidates were too old to serve a second term.
I wonder what is going through the minds of the 24% who thinks America is improving.
Trump is winning on the economy and immigration.'Debt is the blind spot in the US presidential election'.
Over the last five years, the federal deficit has averaged 9% of GDP. This is four times the average since 1945, and nearly double the average for other advanced economies.

@Norwegian-Mugabe I wonder if they will be able to steal this one. I saw that they still predicted to win the senate or the house so that's pretty bad.
-
@Kilgore It seems like illegals will be able to vote in some states. I do not think the election will be stolen this time around. Trump is a better president for almost everyone, including most of the elite.
It seems even more likely that the House will remain Republican. There are 34 senate seats up for graps in 2024. 23 of these are from Democrats or Independents.
This is the latest Senate forecast:If the Republicans end up with the President, the Senate, and the House for two years we can end up with a very different America. A better America.
https://www.nytimes.com/article/senate-races-2024-election.htmlBipartisan border bill loses support, fails procedural vote in U.S. Senate.
The Senate bill failed to advance on a 43-50 procedural vote. The chamber already rejected the measure as part of a broader foreign aid package earlier this year. The bill, negotiated with the White House and a bipartisan trio of senators in the hopes of winning broad appeal, would have overhauled immigration law for the first time in more than 30 years.
"It is an election-year political stunt designed to give our Democratic colleagues the appearance of doing something about this problem without doing anything,” Tennessee GOP Sen. Marsha Blackburn said Wednesday.
Even if the border security bill passed the Senate, it would have no chance in the House, where Johnson has vowed it will be dead on arrival. "We are disappointed that the Senate will once again vote on an already-failed border bill in a move that only splits the Democratic Caucus over extreme and unworkable enforcement-only policies.". -

This happened once already during the first 2 years of Trump... And they got nothing done.

@Kilgore Sure, but the sentiment is different now. The Republicans are drifting away from being Necons. Things will be somewhat different this time around. It is also important to remember that there were tax cuts and deregulation during the first Trump term. This had a positive effect. We can hope for more, but politics can only solve so much. Ultimately, we need to create a new culture to replace the existing one. Politics are important to free us from libtards and socialistic restraint. A blue wave will help us in the culture war. A blue wave is also a signal that we have won some cultural battles. Legacy media is losing and we have won through on many fronts. This can aid in creating a civilized culture based on: health, family, and freedom.

@Norwegian-Mugabe Nice I like your thinking.

@Norwegian-Mugabe Again, consider the fix might be in for a trump rug pull and an attempt to stoke another J6. https://x.com/RealGeorgeWebb1/status/1795666664304136326

Hello @Regina, they will attempt to steal the election as illegals will be allowed to vote. I just hope and believe that Trump's margin is enough to carry the victory.
‘A dying empire led by bad people’: Poll finds young voters despairing over US politics
Speaker Mike Johnson promises a Republican mega-bill that would define Donald Trump’s second term
Back in the 2017 timeframe and in previous years, we Republicans kind of took a single-subject approach to reconciliation. We did one round of health care reform, one round of tax reform. But we’re looking at for [fiscal year 2025], we want to have a much larger scope, multiple issues to address in addition to the expiration of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
The core of any bill would be addressing the individual tax cuts passed under Trump that are scheduled to sunset in 2025, and are estimated to cost trillions to fully renew. Johnson and other members of leadership have also discussed new border security measures, as well as policies to promote energy production.
More than half of Americans are following election news closely, and many are already worn out

@Peatful I doubt it but it could happen. That is why it is so important that Nikki Haley and other neocons are not elected as VP. If Trump elects a neocon, I genuinely think he will die during the next few years.
What I think will happen is that Trump will win and the Dems will keep him busy with one fraudulent warfare trial after another, so Trump does not have the time to run the country. Trump was on the defensive throughout his whole first presidency. Now will be his last term, so he should go on the offensive from day one and disregard the opposition.

We should thank Biden for raising Parkinson's awareness worldwide.

Nikki Haley’s Old Warning Haunts Trump as Biden Bows Out
After losing the New Hampshire primary in January, Haley took a shot at both presumptive nominees, prophesying that “the first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is going to be the party that wins this election.”
50% chance of being correct?

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/07/18/jd-vance-world-view-sources-00168984?utm_source=substack&utm_I'm not so sure. They might just be NNINOs [Not Neocons In Name Only] The conversion of JD Vance from Hillbilly Christian to Catholic reeks of Newt Gingrich and Tony Blair with Bill Barr and Jorge Bergoglio combined.
This is simply a Catholic-centered Christian alliance that provides the other half of the Hegelian dialectic to the liberal side of the loosely Catholic socially woke but supposedly egalitarian alliance of Democrats. Both of these opposing alliances are largely controlled by Talmudist puppeteers in influence from financial funding and media gaslighting. The effect would be a lot of theatrics that eventually settles down to another re-entrenchment of the status quo, not much different from Rome beholden to the influence and control of slave traders, flesh traders, war mongers, war financiers, and a deep state of mercantilist Jewish financiers in the shadows.
Simply put, you have two chefs, each with a cauldron, competing in a show on who makes the best matzo balls.
That is and has always been the case. The new is as old as father time.

@yerrag well, there’s a trend amongst conservative evangelicals to embrace traditional Catholicism and orthodox denominations, it’s a meme now I’m sure you’re aware of, called tradcath. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy akin to the old WASP anti-Catholicism sentiments.
I mean I'm relatively the same; grew up rural southern anti-catholic, and the subsequent culture wars showed me that catholics were always my friend -- then found orthodox to be way more conservative. These two denominations were basically the reactionaries in all the color revolutions, and protestants were often at least a few of the thought leaders in the general pro-revolutionary direction. I'll always be protestant, but I have friends who have gone orthodox after being raised protestant.
Really the only churches thriving right now in America are orthodox and Charismatic.
