Very low energy and high serotonin. Have been experimenting with larger amounts of coffee to keep me productive and high energy. I consume coffee in a ratio of 1/3rd coffee 2/3 milk with plenty of sugar. My problem is that if I drink more than 3 cups a day my gut gets irritated. Asides from this coffee has been helping me a lot and I don't feel I can reduce my intake and maintain my energy levels.

How can I maintain the amount of coffee I drink and not irritate my gut? Is this possible?

@Orkneyman_ Honestly fix your metabolism. Coffee gives energy, that is true, but energy is a complex machinery that uses up a lot of nutrients in the process, making deficiencies so much more likely to happen. And then when that deficiency hits no amount of coffee is going to fix that. If you don't build up the reserves then your body can't sustain being energetic.

@API-Beast What deficiencies should I be watching out for specifically?

Make sure to eat nutrient dense/carb heavy foods often with or before coffee. Might be an idea to weaken the coffee and slowly build up to a stronger brew?

@Orkneyman_ what’s your fluid intake besides coffee? Also check your urine output. Anything that’s going to produce more energy is also going to use more water, just think about how thirsty people get when running or doing sport. I notice so many symptoms when I don’t drink the amount of fluids needed to suppress them.

@dan-saintdominic I drink around a litre of milk per day along with orange juice when I have it. I don't drink that much water asides from breakfast and dinner

@Orkneyman_ around a pint of water at dinner and half a pint in the morning with creatine. Orange juice is around 300-500ml a day when I have it
