RE: Atypical facial neuralgia | Nerve pain
@bear Thank u my friend. I think I have some type of central sensitization that makes me have this constant pain, I would like to calm my CNS and end the pain cycle but I can't do it.
Im taking tianeptine now, Its my hope.
The serotonin drop with cypro has been good for me but the antagonism of dopamine and choline is too strong and make me feel too tired and without motivation. Tianeptine feels better.

@Anakin Maybe try aspirin. It works wonders for pain relief in my experience

Facial neuralgia can be caused by thiamine deficiency
https://www.objectivenutrients.com/insights/thiamine-ttfd-nerve-damage-trigeminal-neuralgia-hearing-loss/Years ago (1994), I experienced severe facial nerve pain when I was being chelated for heavy metals. EDTA IV chelation is known to deplete thiamine. I didn't know enough then to understand the reason for the pain, but thankfully my doctor did; he had me take 16 b-complex capsules daily for years (4 caps, 4 times a day); this equaled to 1600mgs of thiamine hcl daily.
My facial nerve pain (1994) resolved in about 7-10 days. During that time, the only thing that I found that helped with the pain was application of hot wet compresses.
Decades later, after I had stopped supplementing vitamins, I went through years of TMJ, bruxism, jaw pain. All this resolved a few years ago when I resumed taking high dose thiamine hcl.
My own health issues require that I take high doses of thiamine hcl; I take 1 gram, two times a day. I'm living with high oxidative stress that is caused by mercury toxicity. High oxidative stress depletes thiamine. The high dose thiamine resolves the high oxidative stress and has been tremendously helpful for multiple health issues.
Unfortunately I have tried thiamine ttfd and aspirin but I still have pain.

Atypical facial neuralgia | Nerve pain
Does anyone know of any remedy, cure or at least a way to reduce the pain?
My ideas have been: pregnenolone, DHEA, emodin, androsterone, aspirin, vitamin D, glycine, B vitamins, L-tyrosine, lysine, olive leaf extract, niacinamide, theanine, agmatine, phospatidic acid, cyproheptadine and tianeptine.
Maybe rufinamide? Benadryl? Its dangerous block sodium channels?
Its good block calcium channels? Cypro do this.
Ive been prescribed eslicarbazepine but Im afraid to take because of all the side effects including increase serotonin in the brain.
Thank you very much,
