If you get tired of the marmalade, you can juice the oranges and then candy the peels through a similar process with less water at the end of cooking. I find it easier to peel the oranges with a vegetable peeler and then juice the oranges after. If you dust them with sugar while they dry, they become similar to other dried fruits you might find at the store.

RE: What peaty substance is closest to cannabis/CBD on mental and physical relaxation?
Large amounts of sugar and salt can lend itself to being relaxing. Magnesium status is very important too. The ability to relax is definitely a function of energy state and nutritional status. If you're looking for a substance, cypro has given me similar effects.
CBD might be a bit peaty as I have seen it having small antagonistic effects against some serotonin receptor subtypes and it lowering prolactin through the CB1/2 modulation. THC is definitely not peaty.

RE: How do I have less bowel movements?
Serotonin or gut irritation (which can cause serotonin release) can increase transit time so it depends on how "formed" your BMs are. As long as they are completely solid with no pain, it's actually healthier for you to go more often.
How's your diet? Carrot salad?

RE: Gardening
@Peatriot I used to grow produce a few years back and had some great tomato and beet harvests. Got some extra seeds from friends from anniesheirloomseeds.com
These carrots look amazing. They would definitely keep the salad more interesting. Parsnips or other root vegetables might have similar effects to the carrot salad (the nisin peptide I think is the antibacterial part of carrots)
I would highly recommend y'all testing the soil you grow in for heavy metals. Supposedly, some areas can contain lead or mercury in the top-soil. You can reach out to some local chemistry departments at universities for this kind of testing.

RE: Ice Cream Evening Chat
@aanon Costco has heavy whipping cream (Horizon Organic) for about $6 with no excipients. You can pour all of the 64fl oz into a blender with a cup of sugar and handfuls of berries if you want flavor. I've never tried it with adding egg yolks but the above process renders a slightly icy but tasty ice cream. It's not as thick as Haagen Dazs unfortunately but it should be cheaper.

RE: Supplements that have ruined your health
@Sugar Ray often advised against supplementation but it can be really helpful when trying to reverse decades-long malnutrition or ill-health.
NAC supposedly places your body into a more reduced state and also feeds cancer growth in some cases. Nicotinic acid is sometimes helpful when detoxing but most of the time, niacinamide is the far more healthful version.
DHEA probably skyrocketed your estrogen levels due to industrial contaminants, high dosage, and you might have been in a stressed state. Small amounts (3-5mg) are apparently all you need? Need to check Ray and RPF about that.
Isolated glycine apparently has contaminants and causes strange dreams too in some people. Ray even advises against hydrolyzed collagen and argues for only Great Lakes Gelatin. I haven't had many problems with hydrolyzed collagen, other than it sometimes tastes a bit weird to me and sometimes changes my BMs.
Ashwagandha is terrible. The increase in serotonin signaling (either through upregulation of receptors or it being an agonist) is one of the reasons why people feel terrible on it. Lokzo at RPF has a thread on it.
THC increases serotonin signaling as well. The small increase in pregnenolone in the brain from it is only due to it trying to protect itself.
Phenibut can definitely do that. Small amounts of alcohol might be better. Apparently, higher amounts of salt in your diet can lead to more of an effect from alcohol (don't think there are studies on this)
Can't say anything about MK677.
I've also had bad experiences with THC and ashwagandha: anhedonia, lack of motivation, depression, lack of mental clarity, etc. Higher doses of pregnenolone or chronically used have been bad for me as well. I think preg-sulfate acts as a GABA receptor antagonist and can lead to anxiety. I've also found that the increase in NMDA receptor activation also places you in a chronic "learning-mode" which can be helpful in some cases but can lead to analysis paralysis and lack of execution.

@slimegirls Coconut water is great but Pocari Sweat isn't very peaty due to the lactate used

I really enjoy ginger tea and ginger beer when I have time to make it. Otherwise, barley tea is really refreshing. Can't seem to find out if there is hordenine in roasted barley but the polyphenols are anti-inflammatory.
Ideally, you would have warmed sugared milk all day but that's sometimes not feasible.

@LinDaiyu @john That pineapple coconut flavor sounds amazing and so does the Earl Grey. Completely forgot how tea flavors can be used in desserts.
