I've been using Kuinone, 1 drop (2mg), topically every day for about a couple of weeks. Have been taking it simultaneously with Vit. D3 gummies (Nordic Naturals) in the morning after breakfast, and have made an effort to increase my daily calcium intake from ~1 g to closer to 2 g to combat a high Parathyroid Hormone level. Is this enough Vitamin K, since I'm guessing only about 2 micrograms are getting absorbed topically? Is there a somewhat standard ratio for vit D to Vit K dosages? Anyone have any negative effects from too high of a topical Kuinone dosage?

      Thanks for any feedback

@waywardcloud I do much higher vit K doses(Kuinone) oral and topical (10 drops every few days). I think it’s been very helpful for teeth (among other things) in the context of vit D and high calcium.

I recall Haudit stating that there’s no upper limit from the studies he’s considered.

Just wanted to update for future reference in case anyone finds this in a search. I've only used Kuinone topically, and never more than a drop at a time until a couple of days ago. Usually when I first start it I notice a few minutes of shortness of breath or just some mild bodily pressure after applying it. Two days ago I doubled the dose and used one drop on both legs and for most of the day didn't think anything of it, didn't have any noticeable effects. That night though I woke up about four hours after falling asleep and couldn't sleep again for more than 2 hours. I didn't attribute it to the vit k, but the next day, still experimenting, I doubled that dosage, applying two drops on each leg. I felt that same initial pressure right at first but it went away quickly. Later throughout the day I would swing between feeling like I could fall asleep (I was working, so I couldn't) and then when driving later on, felt some intense anxiety. At night I couldn't fall asleep for a few hours after trying. I read Georgi's original Kuinone thread on the old forum and there were a few people saying similar things. All this to say, dose carefully. Apparently Kuinone is more potent than other vit k2 supplements and the topical application has a longer half life throughout the body.

@waywardcloud I don't really understand why topical K2 would be useful vs just orally, as its main use is helping the liver and it seems to me orally it is much faster to get there. I'm sure there is a good reason but I don't know. Have you tried orally ?
