The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition

@Kvirion said in The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition:
LOL! Are you trying to claim that our world and its future are just social constructs?
The path to a collapse is clear. And knowing the inertia of human civilization it is pretty inevitable... The choice was taken a long time ago in 1980-ties, when the West decided to enter an exploitative neoliberal path... Or even earlier during the industrial revolution...
No chap. You're just a bit thick, hopefully temporarily.
"clear"... to you. You're only capable of prophesying your life. Or others you might be able to deceive. I'm not reading much capability in that department.
@Kvirion said in The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition:
Please be careful with your speech and imagery. At first and foremost for yourself.
That is your image, not mine. Aside, the film itself is brilliant. And steeped in metaphor for the avoidance of the very thing you're clearly desperate to hang on to.
Good luck with it and have a great day.
-
@zawisza LOL, so you are a fan of PiS - assessing by your lack of a sense of humor, naivety, and grumpy/pompous style? It's even worse...
BTW your assessment couldn't be more wrong, I voted for Razem.

Yep, good luck to you too, you will need it more than I do with your denial of reality... But nevertheless, enjoy the last days of our civilization!

You are not helping yourself... It would be best if you would just stop speaking.

your denial of reality...
Don't worry Kvirion. I'll be sure to watch Fallout and base my worldview and behaviour on a literal interpretation of it.
Edit for your added image. No doubt you're (currently) looking forward to that. Which probably explains a component of your original message I responded to. I recommend you escape that place as soon as possible.

LOL, so you base your knowledge of reality on computer games? Or maybe on hallucinations from marijuana... Nice phenomenology...
But you know, some prefer to base their epistemic knowledge on vanguard science, humanities, and arts...

Strongly agree.

How exactly did my thread become full of developing country politics? And do I have it correct that @Kvirion, who has warned me against an impending doom of industrial civilization brags about voting for a far-left party? It's like an arsonist warning me about a risk of my house burning down; or more precisely, like a CDR activist cautioning about possibility of anti-Tutsi riots in Rwanda. Dude, you're not some wise sage who has predicted a supposedly inevitable collapse, you are the collapse.
-
It was a good set piece in context and you've topped it off perfectly sir.

@DonkeyDude said in The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition:
developing country
Excuse me but Poland is a 1st world developed country; it has Human Development Index in Top-40, higher than Portugal.
@DonkeyDude said in The ethics of having children while in sub-standard metabolic condition:

Polish politics is such a joke that voting alone makes one worthy of ridicule, but that he voted for leftists makes me think he was trolling - I know that Peat had some fondness for commies but this is too much.
-
That could've pinched me. Then I remembered my own struggle to describe England a "developed" country. All things considered. And with a side of humour.

LOL, do you suggest that the key criterion for judging someone is who someone votes for? That in such a way you can clearly pigeonhole me?
Have you heard about multi-criteria choices, dialectics, and multi-perspectivism?Or do you just "think" that one senator or president will save the world for you?
BTW @zawisza guessed well, I was joking about my vote because I don't respect superficial politics for the masses. No political party represents me well enough... They don't even get what was the original purpose of democracy invented in ancient Greece, etc. And most importantly politicians aren't (systemic) problem-solvers, they just chatter to pander to specific voters...
And yeah, I may agree that our political offtopic here was inappropriate, sorry for that.
BTW Polad was always a noble country in Europe with a great tradition, but unfortunately in a bad geographical place/space - and through history was mostly fucked by East or West (alternating)...
Back to the topic - have you heard about the four renowned schools of sense-making? Do you have any idea about in-depth ontology, epistemology, and phenomenology being used in advanced decision-making? Or rather you're making judgments based on your pretty limited scope of knowledge (or rather a scope of unconscious ignorance)?
BTW this reminds me of a quote:Thinking is difficult, therefore let the herd pronounce judgment! — Carl Jung

Are you sure? Last time I checked they have plenty of buffoons. (Joke)

Whenever someone refers to Dunning-Kruger effect in their argument it's 100% of the time a bad take.

With every comment you make yourself seem more and more obnoxious.

LOL! I simply know my value... BTW I don't claim that I'm smarter than anybody else, I just have done my homework - how to make sense of things and how to get things done for the common good.
Usually, some politician has some good diagnosis, but their "cure" is most often worse than the issue itself...
Most politicians are just empty shells, they only offer superficial symbols or slogans without any idea of how to properly make things better... ("By their deeds, you will know them")Just read for example "Systemantics: The System's Bible" or simply carefully watch Nora's video and you will see it...

Again, no substantive discussion, just poor (close-minded) judgment...
I feel sorry for you... I hope you will someday free yourself from your prejudices and start thinking independently and systematically...
However, unfortunately - you are currently just behaving as an infantile wounded zealot - from now on my blacklist -> blocked.

It's not their job to get it, it's yours. And to continuously remind them of it.
It's also not their job to be problem-solvers, they're law makers. Book keepers. So tell them. What to write down and what to rub out.
Probably a good idea to read directive 2017/1132 and work backwards to domestic statute. Beginning to read legalese is a bit like us all reading studies on sci-hub from 2011. The more you do it. The more you comprehend. As if by magic.
Quite a bit of work to be done. And no rest for the wicked.

Putting the main burden on the individual is a mistake (or just a dirty political trick). The whole society (politicians and citizens) should work together on systemically solving problems.

Agreed!

Why the hell do you think I'm bothering to talk to you.
Have a nice evening Kvirion.
