@yerrag I eat quite a bit of sugar and it feels good as long as I dont go overboard but its hard to get enough calories and it doesnt fullfill me as much. I eat mostly rice (like 250g a day maybe if both meals) for lunch and dinner and lunch with a meat. Sometimes I have a bread with butter and a bit of emmental too for a snack in the afternoon then for dinner again rice with egg or sth sometimes pasta with gorgonzola cheese (only pasta i can eat pretty much lol) but its still not best for my digestion I think. Over the course of the night until bed I do ok with 1L 1.8% milk and like 100-150g dates as its easy on digestion and I can sleep better and not hungry actually often at night is the time i feel best of the day. Maybe its cause milk cause today I had some milk for breakfast and i got to 36.6 without starch.
Im kinda scared to add new foods cause i dont wanna like feel cold depressed shit again its like a ptsd lmao. Like 2 days ago I tried making buckwheat pancakes felt ok but next day was super hypo and like 36.1 temp all afternoon so im scared to try this new stuff again when the other stuff keeps working lol although can never be sure what the real cause was.

so what are the starch you eat aside from rice? And what rice do you eat, brown or white? And what starch were you eating that makes you feel higher temps?

were you experiencing lower temps eating white sugar?

there are more experiments you can make as far as eating other starches such as sweet potato, to see if you can reach higher temps.

@yerrag I eat white basmati rice as i ate other rice once 3 weeks ago and got farting all night lol. As for bread only white or pasta. Thats all starch i eat. Basically starch + fat (+ protein) = good temp increase I think

Idk about white sugar i put it in my tea or milk sometime at night when i feel i need more energy but not really consume much. (warm) Milk + sugar /honey is really good for warming up i think but i never measured. Mostly my thing is the fruit dont get up my temp that well really. When i am cold i can eat like 8 dates and i warm hands again for a bit but it doesnt really make me Feel warm just alleviates cold hands if i didnt eat in some time.

I might try to some sweet potato ig if i can digest it. Why would sweet ptoato make me reach higher temps?

@yerrag I understand it kinda but idk if that my issue? how would i know? When I Had bloodtest (i was more sick then tho) I had 90 fasting blood sugar.

I tried today at lunch and its the same as with the rice (Maybe boiling destroy starch?). But it tasted really great im sure gonna add it as it also has nice micronutrients. 36.8-36.7 celsius after eating then slowly dropping with energy loss. I dont think it lasted me for longer than the rice either it was pretty much felt the same except a bit of harder digestion maybe but nothing dealbreaking. Also had buckwheat pancake now for early dinner as Im sick of rice and my temp gone from 36.3 to 37 immediately and still 30 minutes after and sweating (its 25 clesius in my room rn ig its ok).
Maybe i just need constant supply of "starch+fat+some fructose for glucose" throughout the day like 6 meals or sth

You can tell from a 5hr oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). But medical labs don't do that anymore. And if they do, it's only the 2 or 3hr version which is practically useless. The system replaced the test with the HbA1c test, which is intentionally useless to keep us from really finding out and fixing our blood sugar regulation.

The way out for me is to do my own 5hr oral glucose tolerance test at home using a glucometer. But it's better if you can find a naturopath who can do the OGTT.

I'm basing on an assumption that your blood sugar yoyos after eating something that becomes glucose in blood. When it is a complex carbohydrate, it yoyos less because what you ate does not quickly get digested and converted to glucose because extra processing is needed. So your blood sugar stays in a range where it can be absorbed and converted to energy by tissues- for a much longer period.

Sweet potato is one such complex carb, so your temperature can stay up for much longer. Perhaps the soba noodle that left you feeling warmer is a complex carb as well, or it is that what accompanied the soba (meat likely) also increased the processing/digesting time such that you can also experience the warm effects longer after you eat it.

When you practice grazing, you are adapting to the imperfect blood sugar regulation you currently have. It gets you through the day. When you eat, if you have a piece of steak with rice, you're also making the digestion of the food take longer and this extends the time at which your blood sugar stays in range for sugar absorption and metabolism can happen. When I was like you before, I would feel great eating a large piece of meat with my carbs.

@yerrag yeah First of all thanks I appreciate the help. Im not sure I will do the test tbh cause it costs money etc. and i first wanna fix my gut anyway.

On the blood sugar i see what you mean i try to combine the big portions of glucose always with protein and fat for that reason already but i see how you mean the slower release to help me. Today I woke with 36.4 actually Im not sure if its from that more complex carb or just cause i slept well? Today I just had rice as I forgot to buy the potato agian and was lazy. I managed to keep stable with just small portions of milk and fruit throughout the afternoon tho and due to also having nice weather today / tanning was able to reach the 37 multiple times. Ill see how i am doing temp wise tomorow morning to compare.

@neverever You're getting the idea. You manage knowing what your condition is. Unless you change your condition to where your body can assimilate sudden large intake of glucose and metabolize them, you can use different methods to cope. Grazing you already do, and changing from eating white ride to brown rice is another. Sweet potato has more or less the same property as brown rice. Both have fibers that make the digestive process take longer.

@yerrag does normal potato work the same? Sweet potato cost is kinda high lol. I had brown rice for dinner some time ago and had constant gas for like 4 hours after so thats why i scared of too high starch a bit lol but i gonna try get used with it and use mastic to hopefully keep the bacteria a bit in check.

@neverever sweet potato has a higher fiber content than normal potato so digesting it takes longer.
