Any reason as to why my hands been so dry lately? I drink milk, oj, eat cheese, carrots, meat and starches regularly. Cook with tallow and coconut oil. Take vitamin B12, D, E, K. I wash my hands and they take a long time to regenerate oils, feels raw to touch

      Ty

@raytreats Can't tell you why this happens, though whenever I had that problem I would just use a little bit of coconut oil on my hands. It doesn't solve the problem, but it helps in the short term

@raytreats Number one step if you haven't already taken it is abstaining from self abuse, for a number of easily discernible reasons. If you're still struggling with dry hands after this, I recommend coconut oil soap.

How are your pulse and temps? First thought would be hypothyroidism but in a really dry cold climate like western Canada in the winter it's almost unavoidable. Avoid using harsh soaps and really hot water – most soaps aren't actually soaps, but rather detergents.

I use a mixture of 20% glycerin, 10% urea, and 70% distilled water as moisturizer and it works like a charm. If it's really bad I'll seal it in with tallow balm or shea butter overnight.

@raytreats My skin started getting dry when I upped my metabolic rate. I needed a lot more vitamins. I started eating a can of oysters daily and it resolved very quickly. (Now I eat one a week.)
