      So. my gf has been trying to get a job and I was very supportive. I was actually expecting a little confidence boost because you know making money gives you some kind of feeling of safety. She started acting weird 1-1.5 months ago and I've noticed the changes. She would hang out with me less and was less interested in me overall. I've not been looking after myself good for last 6 months but I would say I am still good looking.

      Is women just dumb? I don't get it. I make like 10x what she makes I own my own business. Do they just get this confidence boost from anything like losing weight or making money and start thinking that they can do better?

      I was pretty serious with her that I wanted to marry her. She would constantly talk about our "future together" randomly. Last week she became too unbearable to even have a talk with and I just broke up with her and blocked her from everywhere. Reason I say she left me is that she was probably planning to break-up anyways.

      What to do? She will come back to re-unite eventually because that high which you get from making money eventually dips even if you are making millions. I don't want to take her back.

        @TurkishPeater If you don't want to take her back, then don't. It's hard to say whether you were jumping a gun here or not, unless you detail her behavioral changes a bit more.
        You say you weren't taking care of yourself properly for 6 months, what does this entail?
        Women's love of men can be fleeting, especially in modern times, but this has always been the case throughout history. Florence Nightingale and Schopenhauer wrote on this for example.
        Male big money is an important factor, but if other masculine traits aren't in order, you end up setting the stage for her mental, then physical, escape.

          @OliverCloasov Stopped going to gym and walks and I did say that it needs to happen this way for 3 months then, I will bring everything to balance. I was fit 6'3 and 210 lbs went to 240. She took 25 lbs too lol I didn't even care.

          I don't know what to feel. Its not anger and not sadness. I am disgusted so to say.

              @TurkishPeater I can understand that emotion, but keep in mind all emotions are temporary. You can move on and given time and concentration on building yourself and your life, the emotion will wither until it's gone. Rumination can only give emotions strength.

                @thyroidchor27 I would do it if I wasn't religious.

                  @OliverCloasov Thanks a lot man. It just made me feel something different that I can't even articulate. Even your 7 years of relationship can go away in a heartbeat because she feels different now. When women think that grass is greener on the other side, its over. They will break-up with you eventually.

                        @TurkishPeater Yeah man, I went through a very similar situation as you (5 yrs relationship with plans for marriage, kids, etc).
                        The emptiness, betrayal, confusion, pit in the chest, the self-questioning... I felt all of that. But it will pass.
                        One last thing I can share is personally I won't ever try to wife up any woman who upholds materialistic tendencies, didn't have a masculine father figure, is obsessed with luxury and has no connection to God. The secular hypersexualized boss woman social media culture has warped so many women into narcissistic fools. But that tide may be turning at least

                            If you broke off contact then maybe it is time for you to move on entirely.

                                @OliverCloasov You are right about the father thing. Her dad was destroyed by his mom. Literally a guy with 0 agency. I guess she wants to save her father with money even if that sounds dumb.
