philosophical reflection for today

The body is not an over-algorithmized machine or a statistical structure, but a very advanced, fluid conglomerate of various types of life activities, homeostatic and physiological. Material conditions shape the body Being is shaped by Health The body is an advanced interorgan relationship that constantly releases goods (energy) needed for the continuity, change and maintenance of life Biology and medical sciences should not only analyze life processes, but also CHANGE them, and above all, CHANGE them.

@Fructose Agreed, body defined as a machine is a deprecated reductionistic concept, but unfortunately still often used at least partially...
BTW A more adequate descriptor for our bodies can be also ecosystem, which we can carefully modulate.

The body is a vessel for the soul

Very accurate. In fact, our body creates incredibly synergistic networks that work perfectly together. This is extremely fascinating. Just like an ecosystem.
Every ecosystem is influenced by some variables that ultimately change and modulate its structure. Unfortunately, as in the case of many ecosystems described in nature, the human body cannot survive very RADICAL changes, although it has great adaptability.
The main many adaptive changes occur on a multi-generational level through gene expression, which is clearly visible in northern peoples, who have a much better ability to store vitamin D and obtain resources from food

I think you will make many mistakes if you frame the body as an ecosystem. It is a faulty foundation. The ecosystem aims to continue itself, while the body aims to continue through others.

Yep, I would also add that (fractal) evolution may also occur on different group levels. Moreover, also on the epigenetic and cultural level. I.e. we may have three layers/levels of evolution:
- genetic
- epigenetic
- environmental/cultural
And all of them are entangled in multiple relationships...

@Norwegian-Mugabe Can you explain? What do you base your assumptions/theses on?
Where did you get the teleological assumption that an ecosystem has a purpose?(BTW Mine are based on the newest discoveries in evolutionary biology and neo-materialism theories...)
Our bodily complex adaptive ecosystem is interrelated to the broader social/biological ecosystems... It's a fractal relationship.
BTW you are probably talking about the continuity of a lineage - this is not in conflict with a conception of a body as an (embedded) ecosystem. The ecosystem aims to continue itself, while the body aims to continue through others.
What about the strong anti-aging Transhumanist movement and Antinatalism then?
BTW have you heard about ecosystemic fractal scaling and multi-level selection, do you?
