I've heard some things from people in the Peaty sphere that there was some sort of group (school of thought/cabal of which Galileo and Newton were associated with, probably had to do with the Enlightenment) that has formed much of the foundation of mainstream scientific thinking. One thing I remember in particular was that Leibniz was one of the figures against this cabal, is there anywhere I can read more about this stuff? I hear a lot about nutrition/health advice but this doesn't seem to be covered as much, so where can I learn about it?
