Specifically for suspected ringworm. Anyone have recommendations? Tea tree oil is supposed to be good as well as peppermint oil, from some quick google searches. I also have rosemary oil.

My Pharma book (Danièle Festy) advises to deal with a a E.O. cream for 3 days + gastro-resistant softgels for 3 weeks.

        1. Ask your pharmacologist (drugstore) for the cream:
          3 ml tea tree
          3 ml litsea citrata
          3 ml eugenia caryiophyllus
          3 ml mentha piperita
          1 ml tanacetum annum
300 ml thick cream with zinc oxide

        2. Softgels to swallow: 3p/d for 3 weeks during the meal (+/ 60 delayed softgels)
          25 mg tea tree
          25 mg palmarosa (cymbopogon)
          25 mg thymus vulgaris geranialiferum
          25 mg pelargonium asperam (palmarosa).

Tea tree is used to optimize the immune reaction.
          Dominique Beaudoux (pharma Dr) advises:
          Chinese cinnamon 1 drop ****
          tea tree 2 d. **
          geranium rosat cv Egypt 2 d. **
          thym ct thujanol 2 d. ***

NB: If you use essential oils not strong enough, or not long enough, you'll reinforce the "beast".
Power given in * for fungus.

For spot treatment Lugol's type iodine obliterates ringworm spots within a couple of days, one or two small applications per spot. Heck Lugol's even works for toenail fungus but it may take multiple days and applications.

I do not know if regular povidone iodine works for ringworm but it wouldn't be hard to test.

              Well seen.
              Begin slowly, 2 Staples.
Lugol 1 % 1 drop each day. Wait 3-4 days.
              Then 20 drops. (10 mg).

@BioEclectic Thanks for the reply. This is actually for a family member. I'll advise to use iodine. If that doesn't work we'll try the tea tree oil and maybe some peppermint/rosemary. I also ordered some Lotramin which is supposed to be effective against it.
