Interesting but very expensive and not so tasteful. No need if not to apply on a scare that doesn't cicatrize well or for another specific purpose.

This video explains that high level of Methylglyoxal in manuka honey (Up to 100 higher than regular honey) forms Advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). Since are called 'end products', I assume that they tend to accumulate over the years and eventually reach a point where they interfere with health.

Your post is interesting. I'm sure real raw honey is full of better stuff which is why I'm still skeptical of store bought.

sales speechs, not all honey producers have the possibility to promote their honey with studies, it's possible that there are honeys as good or better than manuka honey, while they cost 15€kilo maximum

Here is an older study Methylglyoxal in Manuka Honey – Correlation with Antibacterial Properties (2009).

This study only focuses on the benefits of Methylglyoxal. The other half of the story which is not being told are the AGEs. Manuka honey may be naturally produced by bees but the question in my mind are there better antibacterials?

Yes. Used for wounded and infected legs in some countries when antibiotics are not effective or available.

                        Yes, I agree. Caveat emptor.

For years, local suppliers of honey at farmer's markets have been feeding their bees with trays of sugar water to increase honey production. The result is honey, but it is not the same as the honey that the bees make from nectar. I wonder if the most recent trend would be to use GMO high fructose corn syrup to make the sugar water for the bees. It is all about increasing profitability.

Can Bees Make Honey From Sugar Water?
