There are many kitchen towels being sold that are made of PLASTIC.
Many people don't realize that these soft-to-the-touch fabrics are actually made of polyester.
You can find them anywhere in physical as well as online stores.

Many people use these for things like drying dishes, cups, and cookware.
As these towels get old, they can leave tiny traces of fibers on the plates. Here is an example of a "microfiber" rag I used to dry some wet dishes.
When you put any food back on these plates, you will directly put these traces of plastic inside your body. In the photo it's obviously very noticeable, but the moment you first notice, it is already late.

Guess what these "fibers" are made of?

      MMMMMmmmm!!! Yummy sustainable plastics!
How could they have the nerve to call these plastic rags "sustainable"?

I suspect this is a source of microplastics that many people haven't even considered.

If you haven't already, get 100% cotton kitchen towels.

Good post! That is an insane product. I've heard textiles (furniture fabric, rugs, clothes, etc) are the majority source of microplastics in yo body. The polyester gets dustified and then you ingest the dust/little fibers floating around. These towels must be the worst of all though.
