Started small dosage of cynoplus+cynomel a few weeks ago. Since then my temps and pulse are in a good range for the first time ever. Energy is great. Beard grew in in a place it’s always been patchy. All good signs.
But… I’ve also started gaining weight, and it’s not muscle. Clothes are fitting worse. I meticulously track calories so I know there’s been no change there.
The weight gain would make sense if my dosage was off, but everything else reaching optimum levels seems to show that isn’t a problem. Any ideas?

Not sure if actually related but Peat said when he started taking thyroid he could greatly reduce his calorie intake, like his high metabolism actually lowered and became more efficient with his fuel and energy management.

Good point. He also told stories of other people who would eat large amounts of food because they couldn't gain weight, but started gaining weight when they started taking thyroid.

Are you one of those guys who would never be able to gain weight, almost no matter how much they ate?

          Edit:
I actually remember that I wrote him an e-mail about this phenomen, but he never replied.

I've never been a big party attender, but I never went to a party where I didn't probably offend most of the people there by talking about what I was interested in. (Ray Peat)
