Feeling cold immediately after dose of cynoplus. What’s going on?
-
I’m trying to help my partner who has bad estrogen dominance, pcos, obesity, utirine fibroids, nightmarish periods etc.
She reacts horribly to Progest E at any dose. The higher doses gave her gnarly inflammation so bad she felt like her L5 disc was slipped again. Crazy estrogen kickback.
So we’re experimenting with thyroid now to help her shift her hormone profile at more foundational level. First with little doses of cynomel, which has been fine no big noticeable differences, though it does help her warm up when she feels cold.
Funny thing is her temperature generally stays very stable and warm, like her hands are always warm. But I have a feeling she’s running on cortisol, she definitely fits so many low thyroid traits.
We’ve slowly ramped up a cynoplus dose at night to around 40mg which 3/4 of a grain, 7.5mcs of t3 trying not to overdose that.
Shortly after taking the cynoplus dose lately she gets a wave of chill.
What could explain this response? I don’t think t4 could be this fast acting, she’s been on this dose a month now. And her estrogen dominance symptoms are still full force.

One clue if there is a combination on detox pathway CYP450
doi: 10.1089/thy.2017.0085 (cynoplus)
DOI: 10.2165/00003088-200544030-00005 (drugs)Cynoplus acts on Cyp-3A4.
If you drink much coffee and take aspirin or other "drugs", the process to get rid of "rubbish molecules" slows down. Accumulation.
Excerpt:
Levothyroxine has a wide drug–drug interaction spectrum, including inhibition of cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4 and UGT enzymes (UDP-glucuronosyltransferases), and it has been reported to increase the exposure of numerous drugs, including other tyrosine kinase inhibitors (15).I'm not saying not to take cynoplus but to keep in mind the interaction on the detox pathway.
=> See what interacts on cyp450. Afterwards modulate.
caffeine and estrogens follow the same pathway (CYP1A2)

@LucH Why do u think Ray would so often recommend to take cynoplus if it directly impedes estrogen detoxification? He would say t3 helps the liver detox it, and not to take levothyroxine, and support the good deiodinase enzymes

@BroJonas
Too much of a good thing is bad.
Not that the dose is not adéquate but ...
1 + 1 + 1 = 5 when overloading the détox pathway. Açumulation.
